Absolutely love this place! I think this is the best biscuit I’ve ever had in my life! They have a cute little table under an umbrella so you can sit outside and eat, or just ate in your car. You can buy firewood for $10 a wheelbarrow. Beats paying $7 at a chain store for 3 or 4 twigs they call firewood. The staff is super friendly, they addressed me as soon as I got out of my truck, These little hole in the wall restaurants are my favorite! Definitely recommend stopping by they look like a small little spot, but they have a huge menu; and huge flavor! Highly recommend!

We stopped here after doing a few trails at the gorge. The woman running the show was friendly. Lots of good menu options, we had a hard time picking. Went with the Philly and the Stromboli, chili cheese fries. Everything was hot and fresh, and tasted great. Didn’t need to wait too long after ordering at the counter. No frills, no spiritual experiences, just good food at good prices.

Eating here is our favorite part of our visits in this area! Fantastic food at reasonable prices! It’s all carry out. I had the biggest and best bacon double cheeseburger and onion rings that I have ever had! These were not 2 thin hamburger patties but 2 thicker hamburger patties! And the lady that waited on us was super nice!
They also sell firewood for a reasonable price that was seasoned fairly well!
Highly recommend getting takeout from here when in the area!

Family trip to Red River Gorge area Sept. 25 – 27, 2025. This is great a take-out restaurant! Food is excellent; prices are very reasonable; service is friendly and prompt; they use fresh vegetables (lettuce, tomatoes, onions, etc.). This place is a little off the beaten path, but is still close to several area attractions; about two miles west of the Nada Tunnel on KY 77. Locally owned. Give ’em a try. You’ll be glad you did!

When it comes to fast, reliable, and affordable food in an area. Dominated by tourist eateries the lunch bucket breaks the norm of high prices by offering affordable and delicious food right off the highway. Located in a small portable in front of residential homes. The lunch buffet offers a large variety of homestyle foods from burgers to chili to hot dogs, sandwiches, as well as cold refreshments in this takeaway style ordering. You can bet to see quite a few cars queued up out front as they wait for this delicious food. Look out for new extended hours as a AC unit is being installed to allow workers a more comfortable experience. Definitely show your support for this local homegrown eatery that’s been around for 3 years.

For the price the food wasn’t too bad. The burgers were pretty good, we got double cheeseburgers and single cheeseburgers. The fries were kinda soggy, we weren’t fans of the mushrooms. The onion rings were crispy but were bland. We ordered pizza for later but we took some bites of them. They were fairly generic cheese pizzas. You get a lot for the money but the food was pretty average.

One of the best, if not the best, classic American style cheeseburger I’ve ever had in my life and for only $5. I recommend everyone check this spot out, even if you did just eat. I will be eating here every time I come to the area from now on.
