Nice little sandwich restaurant. The gentleman who took our order was originally from Ireland. He had a great personality and was super friendly. My husband got the #1 Italian sandwich along with a side of macaroni salad. I got the #3 Italian sandwich along with a side of potato salad. The sandwiches were very good and fresh. The pasta and macaroni salad were okay. There is only one restroom for either men or women. The door didn’t quite shut properly but the restaurant was located in an older building. All in all a pretty enjoyable lunch.

Great sandwich for a very good price. All sandwiches/paninis are very filling. The tandoori chicken panini is done very well, worried the bread might lose some structure but they nailed the ratio. The cashier was so fun and engaging, it’s worth coming just to speak with him. Well worth a stop.

As a local who has been living here for over 4 years, Lunch Bar Harbor is very beloved to me and I can’t believe today I realized I haven’t left them a heart warming review yet. Lunch has been consistently delicious every season, from the season I came as a tourist to the seasons I’ve made Bar Habor my home. LUNCH will always be a place I recommend and share proudly with everyone. You can taste the care and quality of ingredients Meghan uses in these sandwiches. You will find her in the kitchen making these sandwiches. Thank you my dear for serving so many of us and providing us such wonderful food. Soups – the chowder was quite fishy in flavor, the tomato basil had chunks of tomato in it and was pretty good.
Sandwiches – the tandoori chicken is unique but very curry forward, and the lobster roll is good.

WOW, just wow. The service here is incredible – I never got his name but the gentleman that served my friends and I was so sweet and such a character. We each had one of the Italian sandwiches and all three were super yummy. The sandwiches were stuffed with so much meat, which was an immediate plus. Bread was toasted nicely, everything was seasoned well! I also enjoyed the potato salad. My friends and I ended up taking this to-go but before leaving we enjoyed being able to sit in the restaurant and admire the art hung around the walls and the various decor.

First of all, the vibes and aesthetic are just right. Well done, whoever put this place together. Second, the food is incredibly good. The clam chowder’s a must—creamy, thick, and packed with clams and whatever else they put in there. Really flavorful. The No. 1 Italian is among the most delicious subs I’ve ever had. It is absolutely stacked with meat and other toppings, and is a true feast.

Such an eclectic sandwich shop ! We had the clam chowder, potato salad, #2 and the #3 special which is a Curry Chicken salad sandwich. Wow! Everything was delicious, fresh and filling. The potato salad used whole grain mustard and caramelized onions. The texture of the potato was perfect and the dressing so creamy. The staff was funny and even offered to refill my waterbottle!

My family and I loved our experience here! The guy at the register was very friendly & helpful as we ordered. He gave us free samples of their soup of the day which was good. We all got paninis that were sooo good! I went with the #6 which was a triple cheese panini and my sister and dad both got the #5 which was a ham & cheese panini with apples & balsamic glaze. We also got a bag of chips to share, and everything was amazing! I would definitely return to try their Clam Chowder & the Lobster Salad Panini! The only thing that could be improved is the bathroom situation was a little dingy, but I still think this place earns 5 stars!

Amazing service, food, and atmosphere! I got the lobster roll which was the best cold lobster roll ever as it had amazing flavor! My parents got the tandoori chicken panini which they enjoyed. We also got a cup of clam chowder, which was really good. Service was super friendly and fast. I would come back if I’m in the area!
