I was really disappointed with my experience. The rice was overcooked and tasted burnt, and the beans had a similar scorched flavor. The carne asada tacos were also very dry and overdone, which made them difficult to enjoy. Unfortunately, the quality of the food didn’t meet expectations, especially for the price. I wouldn’t choose to dine here again based on this visit.

Made a quick stop for some tacos and although there was no staff, we were attended to right away. The tacos were really good, there was a little too much cilantro but the meat was fresh. Decent prices, plenty of seating, parking on street, and I loved their drinks selection.

Taqueria is an unassuming grocery store in a small strip mall in Walworth. However, it’s big on unique, cultural favorites (emphasis on Mexican Food). Extensive meat and fruit offering. The Butcher hand-tenderized our Flank Steak. (Wow! We marinated steak and was phenomenally tasty).
Prices are very reasonable. Exterior could use some fresh paint & Parking Lot repairs–these are cosmetic fixes. Store more than compensates for it.

Everything I’ve ever had there is phenomenal. The grocery store has some great prices and their fresh meat section is great! They have beef or chicken fajitas marinating ready to be taken home and prepared.
The taco shop that’s attached to the restaurant is phenomenal. They have daily schedules. They have a hot food bar. Definitely cannot go wrong stopping there either to pick up a few quick groceries or some great tacos and other Mexican cuisine.

GREAT authentic Mexican food. Connected to the grocery/market, you can enter from the market (the strip mall store front) or the side street door direct to the restaurant. Coming from the Chicago suburbs and having grown up in a Chicago Latino neighborhood, this Mexican food is authentic. We had tacos and quesadillas. The highlight were the refried beans, they were definitely cooked by recipe and were super yummy (and I’m not a fan of beans!?). Would highly recommend, then grab snacks for the road from the market (check separate review). Go here it’s gooood!

This place is great! Very bright, clean, and food is out of this world good. I have been in town long enough to see I believe 3 restaurants give this place a go and none of them had me wanting to come back. Now, however, I find myself talking to co workers trying to justify going there for the 2nd or 3rd time per week. If you are looking for authentic Mexican food at a very fair price, check them out! Also, not many places have tamales every day, but they do and they are amazing! The grocery store attached also has very good produce and specialty Mexican items. Check them out!
