I think the wait time and seating were okay, I would say though on a hot day, eating there might not be tolerable for most as the heat from the wood smoking goes through the whole building so you can feel it. The New Haven style pizza tasted more of a bruschetta than a pizza, but the bacon pizza is where’s it at! I normally don’t like a bacon pizza but theirs was good. The cheese pizza is the right amount of crispy and cheesy flavor so I would come again for that. Not a bad spot if you’re local

Incredible Apizza, every time. It’s become the weekly spot in between the New Haven runs to Modern (or Sally’s, Pepe’s, or Zuppardi’s). Fuoco, it’s brother, is good but imo it’s so hard by the time you get it home, which I think it’s getting zapped too hot. Christo’s (other brother) looks amazing, but it’s missing salt or something on overall flavor. Can’t say enough about Luna.
Staff is always nice, cash discount, always fast service. I can’t emphasize enough that I NEVER bother to review stuff… but finally today, after a year and a half of getting this at least twice a Month, I said I better go put a review. PLEASE never close down, you guys make it Perfffect. And I love the random text specials, the garlic knots are seriously the best I’ve had (and I’m full guido with a foodie wife!).
Our go-to’s are Large Mozz and a large 1/2 meatball 1/2 cherry pepper. Keep up the great work guys! (Add some more tables, make an outdoor thing on the side maybe?)

Lunas serves a wide variety of foods for comfort, however my only complaint is they don’t seem to take food allergies very seriously. The food is delicious, but when communicating my allergies it usually seems more inconvenient for them to inform the kitchen than it is to make sure their customer is ok. There was a young man who took my call and noted my allergies and informed me everything would be ok! I appreciated him. After that, i got lots of other people pick up phone tell me “my food shouldn’t touch my allergy”

This is a review for Super Bowl Sunday 2/8/26. First off, I order food every year for the Super Bowl from various places, and have never had such a terrible experience. I placed a pre order for 4 pizzas and 48 wings days in advance with a scheduled 5:30 pick up time. I arrived early just incase and was met with mass chaos and disorganization. It seemed 5-10+ people also had the same pick up time each. It is simply not possible to produce that many orders for the same time. Every single person in there, orders were not ready on time/ missing items. There was 0 communication between the kitchen and the front end staff. My 4 pizzas were not ready until 7pm, 1.5 hours later, what was even the point of preordering with a 5:30 time? Not only this but was told the wings would be ready in 10 more minutes. 30-35 additional mins passed and finally I said forget them. I did not leave until 7:40pm when I arrived at 5:20pm. I understand it is Super Bowl Sunday, but other establishments prepare for this and make sure they have enough inventory/ schedule accordingly pre orders. That’s why most places will say they sold out and refuse to take more orders due to caring about quality over quality. On top of this, the staff was still picking up the phone and saying “pick up or delivery” to customers, even despite being 2+ hours behind on all pre orders. The picture attached doesn’t even do the justice of the disorganization and disappointment of this establishment. On top of this, when I arrived back with the 4 pizzas, 1 of them was wrong and all of them were dry/stiff as if they were under a Golden Corral buffet heat lamp for hours. I’m a fan of Lunas but seeing the greediness and disorganization left me extremely disappointed.

Luna Wood Fired Pizza YOU SHOULD BE ABSOLUTELY ASHAMED AT HOW YOU TREATED MY OUT OF STATE BROTHER! Do not think we will not let everyone know how you treat customers. The disrespect and rudeness from this business/family was so uncalled for, my brother did nothing wrong but ask for updates on his order…We have you on video lying to him and talking to him so rude. He waited almost an hour after pick up time that he was told on the phone. They are telling MULTIPLE people the wrong time. Multiple people were also complaining at them for the same thing. He ordered the special they promoted…WHY PROMOTE A SPECIAL IF YOU HAVE ONLY ONE COOK?!

There is only one cook, so sorry… so he waited almost an hour and watched his pizza sit there, so after waiting patiently he asked if he could get a fresh pizza instead of the one sitting out for 45 minutes and the woman told him yes and then handed him the same pizza box he was staring at for almost an hour. When my brother simply asked why did you say yes and then give me the old pizza? He got threatened by a woman working there asking him where he works so they can go to his job to harass him…how is any of that professional??!
I should preface with..my brother did call a few hours prior to ask if he could order ahead for pick up and they told him no don’t worry just call 45 mins before you want to pick up…

My husband and I went to Luna Woodfired after seeing the restaurant featured on Dave Portnoy’s One Bite pizza reviews. We get to the place and it was busy as hell. The phone was going off every few seconds and there was a line for take out. We ordered to eat in and managed to get a table, which was nice because they don’t have much seating. I got the vegetarian pie and my husband got the pepperoni. The pizza was great! I think their crust is really good, the sauce is the perfect tomato-y, tangy goodness, and I love the amount of char on the pie. Also, the service was wonderful. I was shocked at how quick our pizzas came out. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone in the area.
