We wanted local fare and heard this is the place to get it. We are so happy we made this stop. We ate in the outdoor building but the heaters made it comfortable. Our server was a character and helped us order. We got the fish and chips and fish tacos- all so good. Huge portions. The food was fast and hot. Not to be missed.

A local told me to eat here! BEST CHOICE. Excellent food. Exceptional price. Owned by a fisherman. I met an octogenarian who works there. He’s just amazing. The young lady working there was great, Roll Tide! She gave great advice on food. Halibut and chips -delicious! I think if I lived in the area, I’d be a regular. Threw out my healthy habits and ate this delicious meal. The hot raspberry tea was nice. Love the environment and culture! Thank you! Returned 10/18/25- Terrific! More photos added!

If you want some good local fish, this is a great place! The fish is caught locally by the owner and is very fresh. Seat yourself, inside or outside, and someone will find you. There was live music which was great! Unfortunately, after our order was taken, we were forgotten until a waitress came by and asked if we were done. When we said we were still waiting for our food, you could see panic hit her face. Haha. She found our order and got our food to us very quickly. Hubby got fish and chips, I got fish tacos, and we shared a bowl of clam chowder. The portions are very generous and I could only eat one taco (I ordered 3). The food was delicious! After we were done, we went to pay for our meal but were told that our meal was comped since we had to wait so long. We were very appreciative of that even though we would have happily paid for our meal. The wait staff was very nice though not as attentive as we would have liked. We would definitely eat here again.

Best fish and chips we have ever had and my husband is from New England!!!
I actually don’t care for seafood and for some reason just decided to go for it and also got the fish and chips, halibut, and I loved it. I gobbled it down without talking too much. And my husband was very disappointed because he thought he was going to get the parts that I couldn’t eat 🙂
Perfectly battered with very generous sizes of halibut and very good fries. Not greasy
Love that the waiter had tons of personality but also provided amazing service and happy to help us every time we had a need
The outside of the place is where the majority of the seating is and does look a little rundown but everything is very clean. Don’t let the looks deceive you.

Whenever I am in Yachats this is a go to spot for me! The seafood is fresh and delicious and the prices are reasonable for the portion size. Service here is quick even when they are pretty busy. In the past I have had their clam strips and chowder, this time I had a mixed seafood platter. I have never had anything here that I have not enjoyed. I can’t explain it but this place has a sense of charm to it with the outdoor seating- as a solo diner this location is great for people watching.

Never disappoints.
Had the fried oysters for the first time. Texture is almost like a hushpuppy. Everything else is a good as you’ve heard or better. Burgers are also worth getting.

Tried this place out based on all the reviews, and I don’t understand how this place has such great ratings on the food, TBH…. the ONLY thing I can say was phenomenal was the staff (until the end)
We ordered the clam chowder, very watery and FULL of potatoes, not so many clams, but the flavor was good. My wife had the fish and chips, and the food came out looking like it was great, but the fish was very bland and tasteless. I myself had the 3 fish tacos, and they were not what I expected. There was a generous amount of fish on each taco. However, there was a gigantic helping of guacamole on the top (guac does not belong on fish tacos) and some not so good tasting coleslaw. My son had the cheese burger, and I’ve never in 16 years not seen him finish his burger… today was a first.
Now, the staff were on point with their service, very friendly and quick. But, when I asked our waitress to take the fish and chips off of our bill because my wife literally only choked down one piece of the fish and set it aside, she was friendly about it, but then walked away and started taking to another waitress about us wanting it taken off and gave us the side eye, and it was obvious that she was not talking so nicely about us.
My wife and I travel from state to state on our vacation to try seafood specifically and I hate the to be the guy that goes against all the other reviews here, but I call em like I see them, and this place is faking the seafood they serve the customers that eat there. I’m sorry to have to leave a review like this for such a well rated place.
