Luna was a great stop on a Thursday night with no wait. The staff truly made the experience and were very welcoming. The food was solid overall. The calamari was a bit rubbery, but the fresh bread with olive oil dipping sauce was very tasty. Salads were a generous size and came with all entrées, which was a nice touch. We ordered three dishes: chicken parmesan and gnocchi. Everything was good, though not outstanding. The French onion soup was decent but could use more depth of flavor, while the minestrone soup of the day was tasty. Overall, a good option for the location and a pleasant dining experience.

We tried the French onion soup, a side of meatballs, and the penne alla vodka. With the pasta meals, it includes a side salad and the yummy oil and spices with bread to dip! So yummy. Everything was absolutely delicious! Luckily, we didn’t have to wait for a table (we had dinner around 4). It’s a cozy spot, a little pricey, but totally worth it. I’d definitely recommend Luna’s if you’re in town!

The food is expensive 5/5. For the two of us it was $100.00 including the tip and only drinking water. You would think pasta plates would be cheaper as it’s just pasta and sauce along with a chicken breast or whatever you choose to have with it. Now that being said, the plates were huge and we did not leave hungry. The food was excellent and our waitress was very good. We got the window seat so we were able to people watch as we ate our dinner. All the restaurants on Main Street in Lake Placid are high so be aware. Do not let the prices deter you from trying this restaurant as it was very good.

The food was excellent, with generous portions that were well worth the price. What truly stood out was the service—warm, genuine, and attentive. The server, who is the owner’s son, was incredibly down-to-earth and made the experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend!

This was without a doubt the best Valentine’s day dinner we have had. I just wish this place was not on Main Street so that us locals could keep it secret. Naila was an absolute perfect waitress. We never felt rushed and she was available when needed. As for the food everything was fabulous. Streaks were cooked perfectly and the sauce’s were outstanding. We will be back many times.

Amazing!!! First time visiting this restaurant. Had the French Onion soup…great flavor. For my entree, I had the Veal Saltimbocca, a new dish for me, and delicious does not seem adequate. The veal was tender and the sauce was full of flavor. The salad that came with the meal was fresh with all my favorites, carrots, cucumbers, tomatoes and onion on a bed of crisp greens. Crusty on the outside and soft and warm in the middle describes the bread basket, which came with seasoned olive oil on the side. 5 Stars isn’t enough!

On 2/25 5:30pm my friend and I stopped in for the 3rd time that week because we loved the food, menu and service. This time however we were met by an unpleasant server who would not seat us because she was holding big tables for possible large parties. There was a 5 top open but we were told to sit at the bar to wait because a party would be leaving shortly. This was not true since all tables were in the middle of their dinner. Now this was the week after Thanksgiving week so the potential for 2 large parties taking all the open tables was slim to none, not to mention the snow storm outside. The worst part is we could see her grumbling to her other server about us. So we took our business down the street to a restaurant who welcomed us with open arms and a smile. Our bill came to just shy of $280. Not bad for a 2 top. As we passed by Lunas on the way back to our hotel, we could see that 5 top open and no large parties. Some people just don’t get it.

My husband and I have been coming to Lake Placid several times a year since 2023, and every visit includes dinner at Luna’s—it’s our favorite restaurant in the area. The food and service are consistently excellent. I’ll admit I haven’t explored much of the menu because the chicken parm is so good that I order it every single time. The side salad and bread are the perfect complements, and we always leave full and happy. Luna’s is a must every time we’re in town.

Luna is a welcome addition to Lake Placid’s dining scene, offering Mediterranean-inspired dishes that are both diverse and affordable. The menu features a wide range of flavors and options, making it easy for groups with different tastes to find something they’ll enjoy. Portions are well sized, prices are reasonable, and the food feels fresh without being overly fussy.
