Clean restaurant, friendly staff, service is very quick. They seem to be attentive to all tables and food was good.
Nothing amazing stood out, except the service was! As I mentioned before, attractive service.
The hashbrowns were crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, they do not pre-salt so taste first before adding. The bacon was a little bit fatter than I would prefer, but it’s bacon. The waffle was cooked well.
If you’re looking for a small quiet place to grab a bite to eat, this would be a good choice.
But the smell! The minute you walk in you can smell cleaning agents and wet cleaning rags. It was very hard to enjoy the food in the sitting area for this reason. The restrooms are even worse – it smells like someone poured straight cleaning agent everywhere before you, with a mix of chlorine in between. I tasted the cleaning agent in my mouth even after leaving the restaurant. The place needs a very good deep clean (preferably renovation in the restrooms) and without the heavy parfume to cover the smells.
I can only recommend it for a take out because of that, or at least just avoid the restroom all together.
“I’m just telling you it doesn’t make sense” he said, then shows me his handheld ordering device and the prices of items. I was confused as to what this weird and rude interaction was for at that point, if not to just chastise me in front of other people (he was using dismissive and unprofessional mannerisms when talking to me loudly in front of other customers in the restaurant).
I told him we’d pay more no problem, and asked how long it would be, he said no that “the hashbrowns were already in the bag, he just wanted to show me what I did and why it didn’t make sense” I asked him if he’d ever seen the order options online as if he was a customer and he said no, I showed him that the option that was clicked, was the only option for adding hashbrowns. He proceeded to bring up the price again and once more tell me that “what was selected on the order didn’t make sense,” and said that “he had to show me to charge more because he had to explain to his manager at the end of the day, the items sold and the prices.” I said you should show your manager the online ordering, since that seemed to be the actual issue..and he said “okay I’m just telling you,” again, in a sassy/dismissive manner, then walked off and visibly continued talking about the situation with someone in the kitchen.
To top things off, quality of the food was subpar: the Benedict muffins were burnt, eggs were not cooked properly for a Benedict, and they did not include syrup for our waffles. Terrible, rude, service with what seemed like rushed food. I hope the manager does take the feedback and speaks with his staff about how to engage in customer relations more professionally.
They had a whole back section of the menu that’s vegan too!
In terms of parking, they have a small lot that does have a disabled parking spot. I don’t remember if there’s an unloading zone or if the spot is just closer to the entry.
Service was great too. Thanks for the great time.
