Tried this place for the first time. We were pleasantly surprised by this place. This is a more upscale Mexican restaurant. There are the typical Mexican dishes but then there was some dishes that you do not see all the time. We had the Taco al pastor and the steak quesadilla. Staff was friendly and attentive. We will be back to try some of the other items.

I really want to like this place and maybe it was just the particular dish I ordered that was off. Let me start by saying the restaurant is decorated uniquely with baskets for light fixtures in the ceiling. Love that touch. The service was very attentive and polite. The drawback was that the salsas that came with the chips were very”watery” if that makes sense. Also the chicken in my chicken enchiladas tasted reminiscent of the canned chicken from Sam’s. Not very much flavor at all. But I will say the rice was flavorful and the sauce was very good. Just wish the star of the show would have shown up more.

The chips and salsa are exquisite. Quite possibly the best chips and salsa I have ever had. The queso is also incredible!
As for the entrees they are also full of bright rich flavors and well seasoned. By far out-pacing other Mexican restaurants in the area.
Definitely don’t forget the dessert, as a chocolate fanatic, the flourless chocolate cake is excellent. The tres leches cake is also one the best I have ever had as well.

I’ve been here a couple of times and this time it was just a reminder as to why I keep coming back! Food, atmosphere, and service is impeccable!
I had the enchiladas suizas with chicken and tomatillo salsa! Delectable! Pollo con mole, pollo quesadilla with a pineapple mango salsa. We finished our meal with a tasty Tres leches cake! To die for! My family and I were overwhelmed! We will continue to support this establishment.

Second time eating here. Our waiter Alfredo was excellent with recommendations and overall service. Very nice clean and modern atmosphere. Wonderful Margaritas at Happy Hour and the food was a bit more upscale than most Mexican restaurants. Excellent Fajitas and Quesadillas. Alfredo made this a very pleasurable evening. He was on top of things without being intrusive. Absolutely give this restaurant a try.

We had lunch here today. Everything was wonderful. The food is fresh, flavorful and great portion sizes. Loved the soupa de elote, the plantains, really all of it was delicious. And Grace was amazing. She’s so attentive. Everyone made sure our experience was great. Definitely coming back soon.

Grace and her teammates are the best. Always with a smile, they make you feel welcome at Luna’s as you walk in the door. They’re quick with the ins and outs of the menu, and make quick substitutions or add ons with ease. The restaurant is tastefully decorated and has that authentic Latino theme. I love the basket-hanging lights! To complete the start of this experience is the food. It is so flavorful and bountiful. We’ve been enjoying sure Surfside Beach for many years, and Luna’s is one of the best treasures we’ve found.

We typically search out farm to table venues because that’s how you can assure youre getting (most of the time) scratch made food that is well crafted. We came here on a whim late at night (9pm) simply because they had great reviews and were open. This place actually blew our minds. I think they might be under rated and they are definitely not telling the world exactly how awesome they are. We started with the choriqueso (Oaxaca melted with chorizo) my absolute favorite that is so hard to find. It was 10/10. Then we split the Puntas De Filete. The subtle smokiness of the (perfectly cooked) beef tenderloin tips was mind bending. I know it sounds like im inflating the flavors- but they were seriously that good- that plus the sauce, the black beans, and the plantains was the perfect marriage. It was art on a plate. I acrually shed a tear! The edible flowers and micrgreen cilantro atop just screamed “love and care”. Finally we ended with the churros. They’re made in house!!! And filled with cream cheese. Im wondering why no one is talking about the churros. This place is amazing. The people were kind and attentive and didnt make us feel bad for getting there an hour before closing. We will be back!!

Great food and drinks! When we have people that come to visit, we take them here. Yesterday we had awesome service from Ava. My wife HIGHLY recommends the Spicy Margaritas and I recommend the guacamole appetizer, it to brings the heat if you ask for it. . Over the last couple of years we have tried many of their dishes – all excellent.

I had the chicken suizas they have the best sauce I’ve ever tried! I also ordered the chocolate cake it was so delicious 10/10 would recommend this restaurant, I have been coming here for years and it’s the best place in town in my opinion. Not just for Mexican food but as a whole the best place to eat. It’s fresh, it’s clean, it’s tasty, the customer service is warm and welcoming and efficient. My server was Grace and she was really great!
