It was my first time here I ordered the California breakfast sandwich with lavender vanilla latte and a coffee cake. It was honestly a fantastic experience. The environment was nice and quiet. This is a good place for someone to come study. Have business meetings or just come and enjoy a nice coffee. I highly recommend this place 10 out of 10.

Discovered a wonderful new café in Rome City! I usually go to the well-known places, but this was my first time here and I really loved it. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, with great decor and music. I truly enjoyed my coffee and will definitely come back again — highly recommend!

First time here and I went through the drive through for a cup of Hibiscus tea. Once I was at the window, I asked about customer favorites and the coffee. The young ladyHe waited on me was very kind and very informative as to customer favorites. I will definitely be back for coffee and breakfast and look forward to trying their food.

So I’ve been to Lumina three times to pick up online orders, and apparently the pickup process is a fun guessing game.

Each time, I stood in the clearly marked “online order pickup” area, said hello, and waited. And waited. And waited. There were usually 2-3 employees behind the counter, one deeply engaged in conversation with a customer who wasn’t ordering, while the others perfected the art of looking anywhere but up. No greeting, no acknowledgment, just vibes.

After standing there for 5+ minutes (because interrupting important non-coffee-related conversations felt rude), I was finally told on my last visit that online orders are actually kept in the back “in case you want to go through the drive-thru.” This was especially helpful information considering the sign inside literally tells you to pick up online orders there.

Today, I tried the drive-thru instead. I ordered a latte and a blueberry muffin. The latte was fine. The muffin, however, contained exactly one blueberry. …One…blueberry. A bold creative choice.

I really wanted to like this place, but after multiple identical experiences, I will be getting my coffee (and my blueberries) elsewhere.

Located in Rome 1.5 miles from the Tennis Center and across the street from Braves ⚾️ Minor League Baseball.

Absolutely wonderful coffee and equally as good service. Very clean and trendy restaurant. Of the various places I could have gone when I did a search I’m thankful mom and I landed here.

Love the atmosphere here, great customer service which is a breath of fresh air compared to Starbucks!

The coffee is also very unique and tastes better than your typical espresso drinks. I love that all of their syrups are made in house and from scratch!

This is one of my favorite coffee shops in Floyd County. It’s large enough to seat everyone who comes in-unlike several other coffee shops in the area that get way too crowded. There are tons of windows and natural lighting, modern decorations, and a cute clean coffee shop atmosphere. I love the coffee, the food, and the background study music.

Allow me to preface this review with some praise: the staff are absolutely amazing, incredibly patient, well-trained, and exceedingly competent; and in terms of aesthetic, the atmosphere is cozy, hospitable, and relaxed.

That said, Lumina has been slacking on a couple key points lately.

1. Wi-fi: the wi-fi has been unserviceable for a few months now. For a business whose dine-in consumer base is almost entirely students and salary workers wishing to complete digital work with their coffee, the wi-fi is far too unstable. Factors like asymmetrical signal across the establishment and a newfound incompatibility with administrated chromebooks diminish the experience that justifies pricy coffee/food.

2. Coffee: Lumina coffee is not good. I’m talking about classic espresso drinks, not their more complex beverages made tolerable by sweeteners. Drinks like the Doppio, Cappuccino, and Latte are rancid, blighted by notes far more acidic and bitter than what quality espresso possesses. It’s more than likely caused by simple, machine-based over-extraction, but it messes with nearly every drink Lumina serves. When I pay $3+ for two shots of espresso, I’m almost entirely paying for the service and the restaurant’s pretty interior: the espresso itself is worth only its caffeine concentration.

We just moved to Armuchee so this store is now on my way to work and I’m glad it is! I’ve tried the chicken BLT, the classic breakfast sandwich, and the banana toast and they’re all amazing. I’ve not had the regular coffee, but their lattes and espresso are also very good I would definitely recommend!

I was in there earlier today during lunch hour with a few of my colleagues. We specifically came in to review the overall drinks experience and form our opinions on it. Before I move into the actual drinks, I would love to talk about the service and atmosphere. The setting is amazing you feel welcomed and ultimately feel relaxed. Many different options of seating from couches, bar, to normal high chairs/table. The service was also amazing! The workers were all welcoming and had a great attitude towards all of us. There is no questioning the great service in this café! Now onto the drinks. We bought a total of 7 drinks and also I ordered myself a Strawberry Banana Smoothie . Decaf iced latte, White chocolate Blended, Matcha Creme, Hot Chai, Doppio, Doppio Macchiato, And a Cappuccino. I am not going to sugar coat this as it is my honest opinion, it was for the most part horrible. The decaf ice latte had no milk notes but the texture was there, it was definitely nutty, and acidic and bitter. But compared to the other drinks provided in this cafe it is somewhat tolerable. The White Chocolate Blended honestly tasted cheap, like Halloween candy. There was no coffee notes at all, it is of course chocolatey but no balance from both. Although it is smooth and not viscous there is no way someone without a sweet tooth could finish a 16oz of this drink. Onto the Matcha Crème, there is no complaints on this drink it is by far the best drink we tasted. Tastes like actual matcha, smooth, good amount of balance from matcha and other components. If I ever come back I would get this! We also ordered a Hot Chia, the cinnamon in here was extremely prominent, that’s all the after taste was. It smells extremely good though! It has a smooth texture but the chia was definitely not authentic, this isn’t something I recommed at all, definitely stomach ache inducing. The Doppio Mocchiato, at first glance it smelled normal then a few minutes later we collectively agreed that it smelled like river/fried fish, it tasted absolutely horrible. It was extremely acidic and bitter to the point where it made me light headed and the texture was not pleasant. Would not recommend this drink to anyone. The Cappuccino, it also had the same fish smell but more faint. This drink really didn’t have any flavor because of how acidic and bitter it was. Not as bad as the Mocchiato but definitely still bitter compared to anything else around town. It was a bit more smooth and creamy though, Overall disgusting. Onto the Doppio, there isn’t much to say as it’s similar to the Mocchiato other than it had a bit of a better texture but still overwhelmingly bad. Now onto my biggest complaint, which is the smoothie. How can one mess up a strawberry banana smoothie? It was creamy which is good but the taste was nonexistent it had no flavor other than the faint strawberry and no smoothness from the banana, I would rather buy a processed smoothie that costs 2 less dollars and tastes extremely better from a fast food franchise. This really disappointed me! Overall though props to the employees who work this is nothing on them because of how hard they work. Extremely bad drinks.
