Katherine’s is a European-style bakery and cafe. We specialize in French pastries, quiche, cakes and cookies. Our cafe menu is extensive and is served all day. Breakfast items include freshly-baked croissants in many varieties, including our spectacular almond croissant! Our crepe menu has both savory and sweet choices and, of course, these are made from scratch and fresh to order. Our lunch menu includes classic and premium gourmet sandwiches, fresh seasonal and local ingredient salads, two made-from-scratch soups every day, and more!

My wife and I attended a nearby church function recently. We arrived an hour early and found this delightful little place tucked into the corner of S University and Bonnie Brae Blvd. We split a breakfast, a habit we’ve developed lately. Garlic-rosemary sweet potato hash with eggs, bacon and an english muffin. The edible karma orchid hides a bowl of mixed berries. The coffee was exquisite. We were not disappointed, and will be back.

The food here always tastes like it was made with love Coda coffee makes breakfast feel like home! If you are feeling adventurous, they have a super nice patio with umbrellas. The whole place has a wonderful French vibe that helps make a cuisine feel even more authentic. The croissants are huge and flakey.

We’ve been to this place several times for family brunch and it is wonderful. Great patio dining! Expect to spend a bit more if you have a sweet tooth because they have a great selection of pastries etc. too! Any day of the week it’s worth a wait if there is one. Plenty to take to go as well. My gods, never before have I enjoyed such a light and fluffy omelette. The brie and apple combo was intense and comforting at the same time. And finally, they don’t lie about having fresh fruit not do they skimp on it. The blackberries were so juicy and rich. Definitely going back for fresh croissants!

Worlds best people in this cafe. Everyone is super nice and the lady that made my order was as sweet as could be and made them so beautifully. I was in a pinch with needing three pavlovas and while they usually require a two week notice for them they made them and they were the most beautiful cakes I’ve ever ordered. If you need any sort of cake, pavlova, anything COME TO KATHERINES!!
