I wasn’t feeling my best and I didn’t have a great appetite the night my mom and I dined here, so I’m happy to say that the food wasn’t super rich or anything, and I was able to eat it and digest it perfectly well, so points for that! As for what I did eat, we both just had some fried shrimp, french fries, and hush puppies; A classic seafood meal for the beach!
The atmosphere itself is rather impressive! They have other locations in other states and I guess they’re all affiliated with the legendary Jimmy Buffett and his family, hence the name, and there are pictures in other memorabilia and paraphernalia related to the celebrity all over the place. The restaurant is also rather large and there is plenty of seating, which I definitely noticed since like I said before, there weren’t a whole lot of people here when I was there.
There is a rather large bar area and there was live music, and the cool thing about that was the bathrooms had speakers inside so you could still hear the music while you were actively doing your business. How cool is that?
Upon entering the restaurant, I did notice that there was an area with some sort of ropes course and an arcade, but I didn’t know that they were related to the restaurant, so I guess you can play over there while you’re waiting on your food or something. That’s pretty cool and not a whole lot of places have a feature like that, so if that’s really part of the restaurant’s property, extra points for that!
If that still wasn’t enough, they have a moderately sized gift shop as well! All this to say, I definitely recommend this place!
Also, recently enjoyed this group of moms who were full of energy on a Monday at 4pm.
Finding this place was a challenge – it is located in the back so take the alley all the way to the end and you’ll see it. The place is huge, friendly, great location, amazing views and nice people. There was no wait at 4 pm and we were seated promptly. The chairs where like sitting in chairs at the beach – with slopes. I didn’t really like this. There were not that many people there upon arrival but more people started arriving. We were here about an hour.
Our server was Ashleigh G and she was wonderful. Fried green tomatoes $6.00 were OK compared to what I’ve had before. The music was ok and I believe a live band was setting up.
We ordered Quesadilla Shrimp Entrée $15.00 with mac & cheese $5.00 and the Big Fry Basket $58.00. Teas were $7.50. Our subtotal before tax was $91.50 and total $119.42 with 20% tip. The fried entrée came with french fries, and hush puppies as well. I was excited to try the Unicorn fish and Fried Crab Claws. I can say I tried it and the crab claws were mini claws and a lot of work.
I had a lot of food to take with me but did not eat it as planned. There is also a huge gift shop there too but we did not venture into.
We had an absolute blast at LuLu’s! We arrived by boat which made the whole experience even more fun. The girls loved playing in the sand while we relaxed, enjoyed some great food, and had a few drinks. The atmosphere was lively, colorful, and family-friendly — the perfect mix of laid-back and upbeat. Service was excellent, and everything came out fresh and tasty.
(which also has sausage mixed in) and the Jerk Chicken Sandwhich (which came with grilled pineapple) they were both *chef’s kiss*! Would definitely visit again whether for date night, lunch with the girls, or family get together. Seems ADA friendly with lots of space between tables and a ground level entry way, also seems very kid friendly.
