I returned after one year and Lukas has been totally renovated. They now have a very nice bathroom, wheelchair accessible. More importantly, they still have those cheap delicious daily specials that include the drink. BUENAZOO! Today, we had the split peas soup, goat meat stew, rice and oat milk drink. If you like spicy- ask for it and they will put it on the side. As always, the waitress is super nice and friendly. I plan on returning soon and with a big appetite.
Check out the wall with the Ecuadorian typical sayings- my favorite one is “Chulla Vida!” which means “Awesome Life!” In Quechua and Spanish

I found this place walking on the area, I’m glad I ran into this place. I ordered the churrasco and I could tell you it was one of the best I have tried. I usually don’t write reviews but whenever I want to go and get some steak this place comes in mind for sure.

Small eat-in and takeout Ecuadorian homely dishes are served in a simply decorated restaurant with an open kitchen.

We had the morocho, which was delicious. We also enjoyed their cheese, beef, and plantain empanadas. Again all very yummy and their sauce is the prefect spiciness.

The food itself was disappointing.
The Bagre soup was overcooked and bland, with barely any discernible flavor, Given the high price point of the menu, I expected a much higher standard of service and quality. This visit unfortunately fell far below my expectations and left me feeling very disappointed. This restaurant restaurant automatically adds an 18% gratuity to the bill.
I sincerely hope that you will take my feedback seriously and address these issues to improve the dining experience for future customers

Where do I start….. if they have no manners to greet the guess, we ask for 3 drinks and she made two and said we said two instead of apologizing and make then next drink, then the two drinks she leaves it on the counter which pit table was a few feet away from the counter which I had to get it myself, the 3rd drink they bought to the table was more milk and the actual fruit. The cheese enpanada was nasty and greasy and the fries was tick and greasy, I’m ashamed to say I’m Ecuadorian because I pointed out to my wife who was born in Ecuador that the Ecuadorian are extremely rude and also bad manners people. I been in other countries and people their been polite, kind and warm at the greeting. Not at this place or many Ecuadorian restaurants I been too. I think in overall the Ecuadorian should learn from other cultures and learn how to treat people like people not like animals. Who leave a drink at the counter instead of bringing it to the table? Who serves with a stink face like of the customers are not welcome? I think the owners and all the owners of Ecuadorian restaurants should read this comment and pick up the game. Has anyone notice culture like Chinese . Colombians Americans (black and white) eat in Ecuadorian restaurants? The answer is clearly clear ! No!!! However in many other restaurants Brazilian Colombian Peruvian and many other restaurants except Ecuadorian and I couple also include El Salvador too that not other cultures care to give you any business because or your rudeness. Maybe you could have more business if you learn how to treat people like people and learn manners.

This is one of my favorite places to eat in the area! The food is always piping hot and delicious. The prices are super affordable. Great variety of dishes, and the encebollado is to die for. Staff is always friendly and incredibly attentive. The atmosphere is just so homey and welcoming.
