Made a 3+ hour drive specifically to Luigis for my first ever true NY Style Slice. This place was awesome, it was nostalgic and welcoming. Talking to Gio was awesome, he knows pizza and has true passion for what he does day in and day out. The pizza was amazing, Gio says the sauce is where its at and I would agree. Theres plenty of sauce with just the right amount of cheese on a well fermented and crispy crust. The fresh mozzarella slice with the basil/oil drizzle was awesome as well. I had a nice conversation with Gio about Pizza and he was very Hospitable. I wish them the best and would recommend Luigis to everyone! They have a new dining room next door as well. 10/10

Luigi’s Pizza is one of those classic Brooklyn spots that just gets it right. The crust really stood out super flavorful with a nice crisp bite that holds up perfectly. The sauce was just as good, rich and well seasoned without overpowering the slice. Simple, well executed pizza that reminds you why places like this stay around. Definitely worth stopping in if you’re in the area

Came here after watching countless IG vids and it exceeded the hype. Gio was made our pies, half pepperoni regular and a Sicilian. Both were exceptional! While we were enjoying these, Gio sent a Grandma slice, thoughtfully cut into 3 pieces (there were 3 of us) and man, it was outstanding. He engaged us to make sure we enjoyed it and then he sent a margherita slice, again cut into 3s for us to sample. Another outstanding pizza slice!

Words can’t do justice just how awesome the entire experience was. Go here and get the pizza!

Classic spot. Watched his other vids before the review. Gio was in there working his butt off and had a conversation with me the whole time about brazilian steak spots in Elizabeth NJ.

Go at least once. Got a fresh mozz pie and a half plain half sausage and onion. Both were very good.

Luigi’s Pizza — Brooklyn

By far the best slices I had all day. I went in planning to order just a cheese slice, but when I saw a Sicilian coming out of the oven, I had to ask what it was. The woman at the counter confirmed it was Sicilian, and I immediately added one to my order — a decision I didn’t regret for a second.

Both slices were excellent. The cheese slice earns an 8.3/10, and the Sicilian comes in at an 8.1/10. Neither slice was greasy at all, and the crunch was outstanding — the kind of crisp that would probably register on a Richter scale.

Luigi’s is cash only, which some people don’t love, but I respect it. I’m a cash-is-king guy, and it fits the old-school vibe. The dining room has a few tables, though not many, and it looks like they may be expanding. I took my slices to go and ate outside on a stone slab, admiring the classic Luigi’s neon sign — a really nice touch for a neighborhood pizzeria.

This place is a high recommendation. Not only was it the best slice of the day, it’s easily my second-favorite pizza spot in all of New York City. If you’re in Brooklyn, Luigi’s is a must-stop.

✨ While searching for dining options near Green-Wood Cemetery in Brooklyn, I stumbled upon Luigi’s Pizza. After poring over numerous glowing reviews on Google Maps, I decided to give it a try. And it was an excellent choice.

The slices are served on metal trays, and from the very first bite, I was hooked. There’s something truly special about that perfect crisp crust, tangy sauce, and molten cheese.

It’s fascinating that this family-owned gem has been a neighborhood staple since 1973, preserving authentic traditions across generations.

In my opinion, Luigi’s serves some of the finest pizza in all of New York City. If you’re craving quintessential classic NYC-style slices, this is the spot.

I highly recommend it, especially for first-time visitors to the city. Note that it’s a cash-only establishment, which only adds to its charming old-school vibe.

We did the tourist thing, and visited Luigi’s because we’d seen it on TV. Often, the reality isn’t what you expect.

In the case of Luigi’s we got everything we hoped for, and more: a warm welcome and a slice (or four) of pizza made with love and attention.

The whole family seem to be busy working, keeping the long line of customers fed and happy, and I loved being handed my pizza by the lady behind the counter with the words “they ya go, honey, enjoy!”. You could feel the love they put into feeding people.

We may never get the chance to visit New York again, but if we do, we’re going for a slice at Luigi’s!

If you want to eat the best pizza in New York, you simply have to visit this place.
It is a shop that has preserved its old-school American character, with an owner who is more than just a great person.
There was an issue with our payment, and in the end he treated us to the meal, which deeply moved us.
Warm thanks, the Greeks.

I had the pleasure of visiting Luigi’s Pizza today with my family to show my kids what the best NY pizza is all about. Gio, the owner and pizzaiolo, didn’t disappoint. He made us the most delicious pizza with the crispiest undercarriage. My family and I loved the pizza, it’s truly the best NY pizza you can get, and Gio is a pleasure to meet. This family business has been around since 1973 and represents the pinnacle of NY pizzas. Thanks for keeping it old-school authentic!

First real NY pizza slice and it definitely proves how far just 1-2 slices can go. I’m a bigger dude so I thought I could knock down at least half the pizza, but I struggled already at the half way point of the 3rd slice. The pizza was so good though, so I ended up eating 4 slices and handing out the remaining slices to some New Yorkers around the area. Feel like next time I’m in NYC I might not even try any other pizza places and might only continue coming here. Only downside might be the wait but I could’ve mitigated that by ordering ahead or not getting a whole pie so that’s also slightly on me.
