We went to Luigi’s patio for the first time, for my wife’s birthday, and below is plus/delta of our experience.

Plus:
The vibe, music, and decor were lovely and created a pleasant atmosphere. The wine was good, and we appreciated the 25% Wednesday discount on an Italian bottle. Our waiter was friendly, although not very professional.

Delta:
As an Italian restaurant, we expected high-quality, properly prepared pizza dough. We ordered the shrimp pizza, but the dough was very disappointing — it seemed like focaccia bread instead of real pizza dough. It was greasy and honestly unacceptable.
The mixed salad and fritti calamari were just average.
Also, our table had not been cleaned properly.

I kindly suggest the manager review the pizza preparation process. The dough should rest for at least 24 hours to properly develop flavor and texture.

Food was phenomenal!!! Our waiter Bryan did a great job walking us through the menu and picking out good selections being that this was our first time. When you pull up to the restaurant, don’t judge it by its exterior. The inside is fantastic. Ambience is great. The live piano playing though a bit loud is a nice backdrop to the dining experience.

Tried italian food for the first time here in college station for my wife’s birthday dinner. We come from Fredericksburg, Boerne, and San Antonio. It was a busy night, but the staff was very friendly and we got a table relatively quickly. The restaurant was extremely loud, with lots of college/high-school age customers, as well as a live band with extra loud music. Put that aside, the food was way below average. I ordered the lasagna, but I’ve had better lasagna at home (homemade). The lasagna was basically tasteless. We also ordered a sangria, which tasted like sprite mixed with kool aid (I’m used to top notch sangrias like those served at Maggiano’s in San Antonio). I’ve included a picture of the burnt toast they include for free if you request it. I’ve heard good things about this restaurant, so maybe it was an off night for them. I do not plan on going back or recommending this restaurant to anyone. For $88 it was definitely not worth the ride.

We just finished spending a birthday party here in the evening and we had a very large party but everyone was serviced very quickly by one waitress. the food was absolutely excellent, The desserts were amazing, and our waitress had such a wonderful attitude. She was very attentive and the checks got split correctly the first time amongst 11 people. We were very impressed and will % return again!

We came here for our anniversary and had such a great time! The staff were warm, polite, and genuinely friendly, which made us feel welcome right away. Our food (lasagna and bolognese) came out quickly and was absolutely delicious. We also had Messina wine that paired perfectly. The atmosphere is cozy and lively, with a really warm vibe that made the night special. The anniversary dessert was such a nice touch. Definitely recommend Luigi’s for both special occasions and a great night out!

Luigi’s has been one of our favorite date night spots since it opened many years ago. The food is always fresh and delicious. They have a variety of menu options, some traditional Italian-amercian with some creative dishes that are excellent. Happy hour during the week offers great appetizers & drinks at a reasonable price. The live music at nights is always a treat. The ambience, great service, and great food make it a must. It’s a dining jewel in College Station!

Absolutely outstanding Italian restaurant. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and authentically Italian. Adored the live music as well. The service was attentive without being overbearing, and every recommendation was spot-on.

The food was the real highlight. I had the Pollo de Noci, and she had the Chicken Alfredo. The ingredients, perfectly cooked pasta, rich sauces, and flavors clearly came from tradition and care. You can tell everything is made with intention, not shortcuts.

Portion sizes were generous, prices were fair, and the overall experience felt special without being pretentious. Whether you’re going for a casual dinner or celebrating something important, this place delivers. Easily one of the best Italian meals I’ve had, we’ll definitely be back.

The service was exceptional and the atmosphere was very nice. We had a very good waiter take care of us and our experience all around was great. The food was good but I felt that the pizza had a little too much cheese and hardly any sauce. My wife’s chicken was a little overcooked on the crust but she enjoyed it for the most part. The tiramisu and espresso though were divine and I will always say please try to save enough room to have that at the end of a meal. That will always be something that I will be expecting to have every time I come here from now on.

I highly recommend stopping by. The decor was lovely, service was fantastic and friendly, and the food was amazing. I had the gnocchi with pesto and I loved it. I ordered the chocolate tiramisu and it was delicious, bold coffee taste without being too see.
There was also a live piano player who was top notch and really added to the ambiance.

This was our first visit to Luigi’s, after our kids recommended it highly. Overall, it was a mixed experience. First, they’ve done a very nice job of making the restaurant feel Italian with the decor. On the evening we were there they had a piano player (very good) which added to the ambience. Additionally, our waiter (Jacob) did an excellent job of providing great service to our party of four.

I had the veal parmigiana. It was not particularly flavorful and the angel hair pasta had parmesan cheese only, without sauce. I would not recommend, nor will I order it again.

My wife had the Carbonara with chicken. According to her, it was nothing special, and she would not order again.

One of our friends had the lasagna, which he said was outstanding. It looked outstanding too!

Our other friend had the pecan crusted chicken which she really enjoyed.

For desert, we split the chocolate cake with ganache and the cranberry bread pudding – both of which were very good with the edge going to the chocolate cake.

We will return, and hope to try the highly rated Rosemary Tortellini next time.
