Ludlam is amazing! We used the back room for a birthday party and I couldn’t recommend them more. Everyone is super attentive, friendly, and they all go above and beyond to make your event wonderful. The food was great and I would not hesitate to have another event here in the future. Stephen our bartender was awesome! I’m blown away by how awesome the owner and staff were. Highly highly HIGHLY recommend ❤️

Stopped in for some dinner and beer on a Friday night and the place was packed. Granted there was a Philly’s game on which may have helped sales a bit. Ordered some brisket and sweet and sour carrots which was tasty. While service was overall great, one less star for service was because there really is no table service. There is a food line and a beer line that you order your drinks a d food separately. Drinks are served quickly and you walk back to your table. For food, they give you a pager that goes off when food is ready. Self serve as far as getting your own napkins, utensils, condiments and all. It’s not really a big deal, but it was almost as if you where at a fast food counter ordering and brining back your own food and serving yourself. Of course, you are suckered into tipping on the full meal, yet you are doing most of the work. Overall, a great spot to grab some beer, eat some food, and have a good night. Endedup drinking the Green Gobbler IPA – (New England Style IPA. Smooth and sweet overripe pineapple, peach, and mango give way to an aroma that’s just as tropical as where the hops came from. This IPA solely utilizes the New Zealand hop varietals Nectaron, Wataktu, and Motueka. Celestial aromatics of peaches, citrus, and lime which transcend to a dank and resinous finish. Truly a vacation in a glass)

The staff here are the nicest people you will ever meet. Also, the beer is excellent. The BBQ is delicious. We came here after a youth wrestling match and they were quick to accommodate our group

Awesome spot to watch a game, listen to some music and have an ice cold beer. Their beers are fantastic and always rotating. I’d suggest to stop in to see what’s on tap

WOODBINE: Ludlam Island Brewery has a new location and a much bigger space and we were thrilled to be invited by Renee, the Marketing Director, to check out all the things this brewery has to offer.

One change from their former spot is that leashed and friendly dogs are now only allowed outside, but with a good reason: they now serve food! The outdoor patio is spacious with 3 areas: a sunny spot on the patio with corn hole games, a tented deck with more tables, Adirondack chairs, and some shade, and also an outdoor bar.

Have someone go inside to order and choose from a huge beer menu full of variety. We tried all of their featured beers: Oktoberfest, and 3 different pumpkin flavored beers. Did somebody say pumpkin spiced latte beer? You must order the “Becky!” ‘Tis the season after all. Uniquely, they also offer cocktails using liquor from local distilleries. For wine lovers, there is a nice selection of red and white from local vineyards, and they also serve up non-alcoholic options. We love having so much to choose from.

Food is available with an onsite kitchen serving up BBQ and sandwiches.

They have a great merchandise area with t-shirts, beer glasses, and even doggy gifts like a water bowl, bandana, and treats!

The staff could not have been more welcoming; special shoutout to Lorraine for being so sweet and helpful.

Wanted to love it but didn’t. Cool location, friendly staff and a nice place to watch a band. However the food was not good. We went home with heartburn and upset stomach’s. The brisket was the only good thing. Sweet-and-sour carrots were basically cooked carrots soaked in soy sauce. Potato salad was basically cooked potatoes soaked in vinegar. The pulled chicken was smothered in a gross yellow mustard sauce.

Their new location is amazing! Ludlam truly did an amazing job giving an old bowling ally life again. The food was phenomenal! We actually have what we want to order picked out for our next visit lol I highly recommend visiting the new location! It’s nice to not only have amazing beer, but to be offered a full bar menu as well as food. Congrats on your re-grand opening! Wishing all the best!! Can’t wait to visit again!

Original review: The beer at Ludlam is great! We had one that was a bit spicy… Very interesting! Their current location is a little small, but we were told that they are moving to a new building which is great for them because they are a wonderful brewery! The staff was very nice! Highly recommend checking them out!!

I have to say that the new place is so nice and so big – so it is a great place to bring people cause you will always find a spot to sit – however I will always miss the smaller place where you just always felt welcomed. Now is it expensive – 100% and this is why we do not get to go visit as often as we like – just extremely pricey for such small liquor pours in Woodbine. The food has always been on point so they WIN there. The service (We love Kris and Becky (Come Back Becky)) has always been on point also until our last visit. I am a massively huge Sour drinker and last time we came in of course it had kicked – as I was looking for suggestions – I had to ask for a can pour and just kind of sucked that it was not even something that Staff Member even suggested knowing that I said I LOVE their Sours and they had the cans in the cooler behind them and tons of 4-Packs for Sale. Won’t fully hold a grudge on this hiccup cause I know Becky and Kris would have made sure that didn’t happen. P.S. – Glad they finally brought in some color outside of Brown and Orange for apparel.
