If you are headed down I-76 near Sedgwick you need to stop here and eat! The food is all handmade and all very delicious! The server was very nice and the owner is so nice. You can’t find better food.

We stopped here for breakfast on our way to SLC. It is a great dinner. The staff was friendly, the food was delicious! I had the omelet and it might be the best one I’ve had at a restaurant! It was fantastic! If you are around this area, this is the place to go! We hope to make it back on our way home one day.

I stopped there by chance and I’m glad I did. It was snowing a bit so went in to get somting warm to eat. I was warmly greeted by a young lady (can’t remember her name) ask if I wanted some hot coffee to warm up. Coffee was awesome and hot. I ordered a BLT sandwich, beef soup and lemon pie for dessert. Food was fresh and lots of flavor. The service was a 10. As I was leaving the young lady pointed out a lady sitting there as the owner of the restaurant. I stopped to compliment her on the service and food it turned out into a half hour conversation and told me the history of the restaurant, the meat and vegetables they use is all grown at their farm. Felt like we’ve known each other for a long time. They greeted the customers by name. Too bad I live in Belize or I’d be a regular customer.

What a gem of a place!!! Classic Americana. Perfect little diner. Even got some homemade banana bread to-go. Hearing the staff know everyone’s name and yet being so welcoming to us, newcomers, was such a treat. They don’t make ‘em like this anymore. Well worth the stop.

This place is a diamond in the rough. It’s been around since the 70s, and I could be wrong but I believe the previous owner bought it from Lucy herself, and the current owner Marion took over from him. She grew up in the same super small town. Worked as a truck driver, got a degree in Ag business (I hope I have that right) from the U of O, was a first responder, has fifty head of cattle (That’s right, REAL farm to table. You drive past the cows to get to the parking lot. And they look like very happy cows.)
The menu is simple and straightforward, but it’s done right and done well. And the prices give pre-Trump vibes. The other two ladies working were so sweet and attentive, you can really feel the love in this place. Next to a gas station (that also offers diesel and a cashier that tells you which stretches of road you might want to drive the speed limit through), this place honestly just made me hella happy across the board. And their pies and baked goods are beyond. If you see the sign, at least pull in for a cup of coffee, a slice of pie and an experience that will leave you with a smile on your face. (And my check was only over $10 bc I got a sandwich, the salad bar (also impressive for the middle of nowhere) and a slice of pie. 12/10.

The food and service service were great! They had lots of homemade pies and great big cinnamon rolls! I didn’t have any of the dessert but they sure look delicious! I will definitely go back here again!

This little place is right off the highway next to a gas station and a bit outside of Sedgwick. The staff is friendly and attentive. The food is awesome and the prices reasonable. I had the deluxe hamburger with fries and it was fresh and hot with a good proportion. I had to get a cinnamon roll and pecan roll. They’re huge! The pecan roll was 5x7x3 inches and as yummy as is big! We haven’t tried the cinnamon roll yet, but I’m confident it will be worth the calories. I’ll definitely go here again when in the area!

Truly a spectacular experience. The atmosphere is inviting and not pretentious, they play great music throughout the restaurant.
The service here is attentive, welcoming, and informative.
The food is out of this world. The burgers are delicious as well as the sides.
Do yourself a favor and check this place out.

I was driving from Colorado to Iowa and found this hidden gem along the way. The staff were friendly, the food was very good, and the prices were reasonable. I had the bison burger and it was cooked just right. Had to have a slice of one of their many pie options too, so good! Before I was leaving I saw fresh sticky pecan cinnamon rolls come out from the back. I asked if I could buy the pan with the rolls in it to bring home to my family. The server said, sure, wrapped it up and I was on my way. If I’m ever lucky enough to take this drive again, I’m stopping at Lucy’s Place! Go, enjoy the small town diner atmosphere, and eat some good food.
