Today I am celebrating my sons 1st Heavenly Birthday. I was unable to pick up his cake, instead my mother did for me. Once I got home, I was disappointed to see the piping on the cake. I almost paid $4per fondant snowflake or $3per piped snowflake. I had a feeling the work was going to be sloppy but since it was his favorite cake I had to buy it for this occasion. I’ve been purchasing cakes here for over 20yrs. It’s disappointing that on a very important date I get sloppy work for $45.

I wasn’t very pleased with the outcome of my mother’s birthday cake. As you can see, it looks like they just threw something together quickly. It wasn’t very symmetrical at all, and the flavor was lacking for a strawberry cake. For a price tag of $50, you’d think the business would make more of an effort to make someone’s birthday cake more enjoyable. It was honestly a bit embarrassing to hear folks notice the poor quality of the cake as it was being cut.

Lucy’s has been a San Antonio staple for as long as I can remember! We have used them ever since our wedding almost 26 years ago, and our family has used them for even longer! The cakes and cupcakes are always delicious! I also love that you can have personal photos made on edible icing.

This was one of the worst cakes my family has ever purchased even H‑E‑B cakes would’ve been a better option. The cake was so dry and taste was odd and so not what we were looking for. And the oils used to make them are so unhealthy for my 5 year olds birthday and the rest of the children. Never again will we buy our cakes here.

30 people served and the amount of cake was an over surplus. We paid about $275 for a one tier, 3 layer cake with pineapple filling and buttercream. Melted chocolate on top with a custom image and added bumblebees. Wish I could post the video. It was a very beautiful cake and was ready right on time the day of. The workers even assisted when last minute the payment needed to be extended. No day of payment but they were very helpful and understanding and we came to a solution.
