Stopped in for lunch with a colleague, we like to try new places. This was great! We both got the brisket supper which comes with 2 sides and 2 sauces. I got Mac and cheese and collard greens while my colleague got the potato salad and beans.. All were outstanding, though collards stood tallest. If I had to rank: collards, mac, beans, PSalad, though none will disappoint. The brisket was pull apart/fall apart, with a decent smoke ring and bark. We lamented one of us nit getting the pulled pork so we could both try it. Next time!

The food was absolutely amazing. Shared with 4 other women and was a perfect amount. They were not that busy so people need to rush out and try! The sharing plated are just oerfect!

this place is fantastic! we have been there a few times and would recommend everything, so far the cheeseburger is our favorite, but the chicken sandwich, brisket, and chicken and dumplings are our favorite. the drinks also are amazing. everything is always fresh and the atmosphere is fun. perfect spot for a date night or girls night catching up. I can’t say enough good things about this place!!

This was the first time trying them out and our experience was amazing. Our server Nicki was really nice and funny. Made the experience even better.
Everyone at our table enjoyed their food. I had the smoked brisket and eggs and candied bacon. Both items were really good and filling. Certain parts of the bacon were maybe a little too crispy to chew, but overall the flavor of it was nice. I’d come back here again.

Had brunch here and everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. The entire alcohol menu is available at opening. Nice selection of crafted cocktails, the Magnolia was perfect. Diverse brunch menu. Very pleased with the presentation of both food and drinks. Quality ingredients, A+. The decor was eclectic, vibrant, fresh, and very clean. Staff provided excellent service. I would recommend making reservations. Outdoor seating in the front. Looking forward revisiting soon.

I had dinner here last Sunday with family and was absolutely stunned by my experience! We were seated immediately upon arrival and the hostess and our waitress were friendly, accommodating, and jovial. The place was quiet, cozy and welcoming. We ordered the milk bread, gumbo, po’ boy, and crawfish pie for the table and truthfully I cannot pick a favorite! Every single bite was perfectly cooked, flavorful, and absolutely delicious! After appetizers, we ordered the double cheeseburger, pastrami and catfish for our entrees and this was by far the best cheeseburger I have ever had. The pimento cheese and tomato jam are a criminally good combination and the patty was cooked perfectly! For dessert we ordered the German chocolate cake and Nana’s Banana Pudding. The banana pudding stopped us all dead in our tracks it was so incredible. I’m not a huge banana fan, but I lost my self control with this dessert, I couldn’t get enough! Throughout the night our waitress was attentive, friendly, and offered recommendations from the menu (which we happily took). Drinks never went low and our silverware was replaced with each course. Overall this was one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had here in St. Louis and I cannot WAIT to come back and try the pork belly and cheesecake!

Came for brunch on a Saturday. Heard about it being a twin kind of restaurant. Cute but kind of confusing because of different menus and i wanted something from each but it wasnt on the menu at the one we ate at. Atmosphere nice with carefully designed recipes that were an upgrade from a normal southern or soul food restaursnt. But nice upgrades. The menu writing was too small however and it was low lighting so it was really hard to read. Ordered the fried oysters rockafeller, the crab bengiet, fried green tomato, and smoked brisket. The rockafeller was delicious according to my husband. The crab bengiet were good but i think a little overcooked because the bread was darker than a normal begniet and tasted a little done. But the inside was flavorful and kinda like a light crab cake and the sauce was excellent. The fried green tomato was very good. The sauce for it was also nice and the stewed tomato was very delicious. The brisket was smoked well and tasted good. Had a nice bark. It was a little dry however and I think a good sauce with it would have set it off. Went well with the fluffy eggs though. Overall everything good and nicely done. Service was good. The food is more like appetizers or small plates so between ny husband and nyself we had 4 plates. He also had a Charleston drink which was a mixed smoked Nearest whiskey. It was $106 before tip so it is pricey . The atmosphere is perfect for the grove. A nice place to meet up with friends and share food.
