We ate here the other day while out sight seeing. It was the best Thai we’ve had yet! We will be back when in vacation again! Highly recommend!

We went 30min out of our way to pickup takeaway from this Thai restaurant, and it didn’t disappoint.

There is something for everyone on the online menu, with plenty of pictures with helpful descriptions. I am a sucker for Red Curry, but it can be hit or miss. I decided to shoot my shot, not knowing if this establishment was authentic or if it would live up to my expectations. I have to say, the portions and amount of components/ingredients within their red curry is astounding, and the flavor is out of this world. I am also a bit of a Thai coffee snob, and theirs definitely hit the mark.

The ordering experience was painless. The menu was helpful, the person taking the order was clear and repeated the order back to me. While I didn’t eat in the restaurant, I took a look around while picking up my meal, and it has a lovely ambiance. I was impressed that while we had a large order, it was ready in 15min or less.

If you’re ever in the Newport/Toledo area, I would definitely consider stopping in, or calling ahead. I had a wonderful experience, and I can’t recommend this place enough.

This was my second visit to the restaurant, and since I had a great impression the first time, I came back on purpose. The food and sauces were authentic and flavorful, making this a highly recommended spot. I intentionally saved a portion of my meal to enjoy the next morning—and it tasted absolutely fantastic. I wholeheartedly recommend this place.

Absolutely delicious! Lucky Thai Elephant is a gem in Newport. The flavors were bold, fresh, and authentic—some of the best Thai food we’ve had on the coast. We ordered the Pad See Ew, Pad Thai, and Tom Yum soup, and every dish was perfectly seasoned and beautifully presented. The portions were generous, and everything came out hot and flavorful.

The service was warm and welcoming, with staff who clearly care about both the food and the guests. The atmosphere was cozy and clean—perfect for a relaxed lunch or dinner.

Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area. This will definitely be a go-to spot for us anytime we visit Newport!

I love thai food and i love pineapple fried rice and this place was stellar!
went there last weekend with my gf and she loved her squid pad thai too. they added curry powder to the pineapple fried rice which added a delivious flavor that i haven’t had at other restaurants.
the staff were great and the atmosphere was nice. take note that the straws aren’t quite big enough for the boba, so it’ll take some effort to suck them up!

I always see a lot of cars parked here, so I thought it would be good. I don’t eat that much Thai food, but I’ve had some very good stuff in the past. Yes, this is better than you would get from a box but I don’t think it’s on par with the other Thai food that I have had in other cities. I don’t think I’ll go back. I have to say that the place was packed at 6:30 in the evening. Of course it’s convenient and it’s right on Highway 101 right in front of the Samaritan Pacific Communities Hospital.. the portion size was fair, the price, OK. I got pad Thai with pork.

Was on a business trip to Newport and found this Thai restaurant. I was really excited that they offered a gluten-free pad. Thai and even had a large size! The food was super good, and I will truly be coming back here next time I’m on the coast. Also, the leftovers warmed up in the microwave. The next day were still excellent. Plus the server spoke really good English and we’re friendly even as they were about to close.

We were pleasantly surprised by this place! It’s not really impressive on the outside but Is nice on the inside. Very good customer service and food was very good. Nice sized portions too. Lots of menu items to choose from. Gluten free and dairy free options galore and tofu options for those vegetarians out there.

My girlfriend and I went here for dinner last night. The waitress we had was very friendly, just not very attentive. We had a great time, the portions of the food was larger than expected. The food came out pretty quickly. I had the red curry noodles with beef and my girlfriend got the green curry with chicken and rice. We also got wantons as an appetizer. They offer a small beer and wine options as well as sake, so I tried the Chang beer, a Thailand based beer. It was pretty good as well, comparable to bud light platinum. All and all it was a good experience, the waitress just wasn’t very attentive.

Favorite Thai on the coast. Their menu is fairly big but my wife and I try a different stir fry dish or curry every time and they are all fantastic. Prices are also very good.

A word of warning, I can handle A LOT of heat. The medium-hot curry is the sweet spot for me. I tried the hot red curry and my tongue was tingling the entire time lol. You can also order less spicy and they will bring out a spice tray so you can add heat.
All the veggies are fresh tasting and the dishes taste so light compared to other restaurants.
