Consistently good Chinese food! We have never been there, we always order from Uber eats and they deliver, but orders always come fresh and hot. And this is one of the few restaurants that serve egg foo young Wilmington.

I had a craving for Chinese so I gave Lucky Star a try. First, they deliver in less than 30 minutes. Second, the food is amazing. The dishes taste slightly different from what I’m used to but in a good way. There is a sweetness to the dishes. I asked for extra spicy for my soup and they did not disappoint. It was sweet and spicy! Hands down – AMAZING. And it boasted three different meats (chicken, beef, and pork) including tofu. The fried dumplings were also a treat. The filling is a combination of chicken and pork which paired well with the sweet soy sauce. The Hunan beef was perfection, the vegetables were crisp, and the sauce was light yet flavorful. I plan on trying the rest of Lucky Star’s menu as it offers Thai and Japanese foods in addition to Chinese. I’m lucky to have found this little gem.

The noodles were decent, but our chicken was raw. They did have good fortunes inside of the fortune cookies though. Will not be ordering from here again, and would not recommend. Update 4/9: went today for a refund, as they said they would give me but only received a refund for the chicken we ordered instead of the full meal. We paid $43 for food we could not eat, and I was refunded less than half of that price. Very dissapointed and will not eat here ever again.

Most of the time the food is really good here but today was disappointing. The egg foo young had so many eggshells in every other bite and the rice tasted like it was cooked 3 or 4 days ago and wasn’t even hot. It was super gummy and looked spoiled. I had to throw the whole dinner away.

I have been ordering from Lucky Star in market for a long time. Always excellent. Delicious Szechuan dumplings, great ribs, fantastic General Taos chicken. Really terrific egg rolls and the only local place for Shrimp toast. Highly recommend.

I first ordered food from this restaurant for delivery when I moved into my apartment at the Creek Apartments in September 2022 and have been ordering ever since. The food is hot and delicious and the portions last me for a couple of days. The delivery drivers are friendly too. I would like to especially shout out my delivery driver on December 16, 2022 and the previous Friday.
