Very good, old school Chinese restaurant in a strip mall. It’s is an actual dine-in restaurant with big booths, tables and some festive Chinese decorations. One woman seems to be the only front staff member and she does a good job. The food is great. The pork wonton soup is excellent! Giant pieces of pork, slices of fresh cabbage and excellent wontons, in a light chicken broth with a hint of white pepper. Really good! I also had mu shu chicken which was chopped into larger chunks that is typical, which highlighted the freshness of the cabbage and mushrooms and big pieces of chicken. It has a hint of wok smoke which was great. This is one of the few places with real, flour pancakes rather than those translucent corn starchy ones. It comes with two pancakes so pay to get more. Also comes with white rice. This is a quiet place with a big take out business. Go out and dine-in, you’ll enjoy the food! Oh and they give a pot of tea when you sit down which is something I have missed from dine-in Chinese.

This place truly deserves the five stars…. This place has such great food. It is truly the quality and the quantity. They have this very special dark sauce that is so good it’ll knock your socks off. They have scorpion bowls that are amazing. Boneless spare ribs in the chicken wings are so good they’re mouth watering. A different style of fried rice that tastes super fresh. I would recommend this place to anyone. They’ve been open for years and that been great for years.

We got chicken wings, chicken fingers poo poo platter. They were all very, very greasy too much batter and the chicken wings were not cooked through and the chicken inside the chicken fingers was dry and fried rice tasted burnt
Didn’t even eat much of it- very disappointed..

The worst General Tao’s chicken ever. Was like eating burnt gravel with sauce. The egg roll was so gross I spit out the one bite I tried.

This food is so nasty burnt as hell! Just gross when I called to get some money back because the way it looks. The crab Rangoon have no crab meat in it and the lady told me that it was made with only cream cheese no crab in it at all! Wft

I love this place. My family gets take out at least a few times a year from them for a year or so now. It’s our go to spot for Chinese food. It’s always fun when we do dine in. I haven’t found Chinese food that even comes to how good this place is anywhere else (in this part of CT). Highly recommend

5 stars for a niche market.
This is unpretentious, legit American-Chinese food. Tasty and affordable. Love it.

If you’re comparing to self-consciously upscale restaurants and price is not an object, then it’s a solid, reliable 4.

We’ve been going to the Lucky Inn for decades. Their food is more “authentic American Chinese” than at other places. They make the best plum sauce & hot mustard too.
