“My experience at Lucky Dragon was quite disappointing. Upon entering, we were immediately met with a terrible smell, which was not a pleasant start. Despite this, we decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, the food was not good, and the prices were far too high for the quality received. The only redeeming item we ordered were the crab rangoons, which were enjoyable. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant and suggest looking elsewhere for a better dining experience.”

I came here a few times while spending my summer in Charles City. It is quite affordable compared to many Chinese places I have been to. The quality of the food could have been a little better, but is not bad at all given the surroundings!

This photo is leftovers and it’s even better the next day! By far the best Chinese food I’ve ever eaten. I moved away 10 years ago and the lucky Dragon is always my first go to when I’m in town. The crab Rangoon is like no other! To top it off the owners are the nicest people around. I’ve never had a bad experience here. Wish they would ship Togo orders

Good food at very reasonable prices. Great service. The restaurant owner will identify which ingredients we don’t like accordingly they prepare and serve us even though we don’t tell them our likes and dislikes.

This place is like really really good. I wish the resteraunt was open for dinner since the interior is so cool, but the most important thing is the food and the takeout is always perfect eating temperature so I can’t complain. Get the chicken broccoli, it’s so good, I didn’t realize how much I loved bamboo shoots until I had this dish. Plus the egg drop soup is like 100 times better than any recipe I can make at home, I’ve tried. 10/10 I keep coming back again and again.

We have been there before but it’s increasingly gone down hill. The service always was slow but the food was good until recently. We ordered takeout Orange Chicken that had no chicken. It was just fried breading with no meat. My wife and I ordered the same thing. Both dishes lacked chicken. When my wife called her up she said they use white meat. My wife insisted there was no meat. She just hung up on her. Imagine that, no attempt to make it right, just rudeness. Last time we give them business.

Lucky Dragon is take out only. The Buddha Vegetables was good. It is definitely spicy as advertised. If you like some heat that is a good pick. The crab rangoons became a little soggy in the package and were not as crispy as I like. The lady/proprietor was pleasant and helpful.

Location Location Location this place would do well if it was anywhere else then here I have never been to a restaurant with not one person inside out side of the one worker which she was very pleasant, the inside is rather nice a bit dusty though but its almost like the luck of the dragon has ran out. The food tasted like it came out of a bag from Walmart didn’t smell nothing when it was made like microwave effects. I know times are hard right now. Hopefully, Lucky Dragon will have the luck of The Phoenix. That is all.

Called about 3 times just after 7 to place a pick up order (as they close at 8pm per their advertisement online), and didn’t get an answer. Decided to try and head there since the reviews are good. As I arrived the lights are off and parking lot empty. I see the fallowing on the door (see photo). Which shocks me completely and have never seen in all my places I’ve gone. No other sign on the door as to why they are closed early, so on and so on. If you are a business, edit your hours online, or make signage for early closure. It’s very frustrating for out of town visitors to want to come back.
