Waited over 15 minutes for drinks, was told that the bar was backed up more than twice and had to ask for water. The place was not full and there was about 50% capacity. Waitress gave us tots as an option and ever said they were sweet potatoes tots. YUCK!
We had tacos and drinks delivered to us that were not ours.
Pretty disappointed tonight.
The nachos were delicious and loaded with toppings. We weren’t able to finish them. The fish fry was very good and we would come back for it.
The drinks were pretty good! My strawberry mojito (don’t judge me…I just golfed in 90 degree weather and didn’t want a margarita) was very refreshing.
Staff was attentive and kept our drinks filled.
It’s fun to be out on the patio. The place was very busy with nice weather and weekend vibes.
The indoor stage is a great setup for shows.
It can be tough to get seated when the weather is nice. It can be a little frustrating because they don’t seat to space but rather to kitchen capacity I think. You can wait for awhile for a table even though there are plenty of open tables. They also don’t do reservations, so your best bet is to arrive before you want to eat and put your name in.
I have to come back to change my review, as I recently tried Lucky Chucky’s again 2 years later – because the food was exceptional and I was very happy with the experience and that I gave it another chance. We went on a Friday, but it wasn’t too busy. No room on the outdoor patio, so we sat in the enclosed patio, which still had a nice view of the lake. I am excited to go back again.

From the food to the service to the atmosphere, Lucky Chucky’s left everything to be desired. The place was just empty, nothing was on the tables (like salt/pepper/ketchup) and there were very few people there, and us being there felt like a bother. This was possibly because of them not having a lot of employees working…there were signs all over the doors and counters stating they were understaffed and our server told us as well. I just ended up feeling bad.
The food was extremely bland. The fries were great, the tacos had some potential, and the grilled chicken sandwich was just a plain, unseasoned chicken breast with the weirdest aftertaste of burger. I had heard good things about Lucky Chucky’s, so maybe this was a one off experience, but I was unfortunately disappointed.
Let’s talk food. I failed to take a photo of the soup before I started eating (it smelled so good), but you could SMELL the deliciousness of the Chicken Tortilla Soup. Not only that, but this Crispy Cauliflower is perfection – great heat that isn’t overwhelming.
We sat at the bar extension so we could watch the game – full bar, a few families enjoying a meal – and the noise level was balanced. Overall great ambiance.
We were in town for a college graduation and were wanting a place to get together with some friends for dinner. We knew it was going to be a busy Friday night and were prepared for a wait. Little did we know…
My wife and I arrived at 615 and asked for a table for four. We were told it would be about a half hour and we were cool with that. Sure enough, a half hour went by and we were seated. Seeing how busy it was, we were going over the menu and did notice how long it had been until we looked at the table next to us – they had barely received their apps.
I looked at the time and 15 minutes had already passed without us even being acknowledged. A server asked if anyone had been by yet and assured us someone would be with us shortly.
A young lady took our drink order and said she would be back with them. 15 minutes (!) later, we were on the verge of walking out, as we had still not received anything. However, she arrived with our waters and various beverages at the last possible moment. We were stuck now.
She asked about apps, and my wife and I got the crabby fries. She did not ask about entrées, which I found odd, but hey…
The appetizer arrived about 15 minutes later and was tasty, but a bit disappointing in size. She then took our orders – my wife got some tacos and I got the Shrimp and Crab BLT. Both of our entrées were delicious, but you could tell they were under a heat lamp for some time.
It took almost a half hour for our entrées to come out and in that time, we saw a six-top get seated next to us and receive their entire order – drinks and all!
Once we received our food, I asked to speak with a manager. I explained the situation and the timeline. She told me that it was a busy Friday and the kitchen was backed up and our server was also taking care of the outside patio. In the end, she took care of our drinks for the lack of service.
If in the area again, we would not come back on a weekend. Their service seems to be lacking when it is busy. During the week would be a better bet. The food was good though! I rather enjoyed the BLT and my wife told me her tacos were delicious.
