Classic diner near Yosemite. Besides our hearty dishes like steaks and burgers, we also have a vegetarian menu. Our season is St. Patrick’s Day through Veterans Day when we are open daily 7 am – 9 pm. During the winter off season we are open holidays and weekends.

Food: The food here at Lucky Buck Meadows was really good, as well as filling. The food was a bit pricey, with each meal costing an average w $20-30. The burgers were huge (both regular sized and it the kids meal), and it was nice how you can substitute a side for something else. Furthermore, if you get a soft drink, you get free refills!!
Service: The service was great – we had a kind and attentive server and the wait time was decent.
Atmosphere: The decorations inside Lucky Buck cafe display Yosemite and the greater area, however it is a bit bizarre how the have tourist stuff inside the restaurant (such as keychains, license plates, pens, etc) which makes the atmosphere shift a bit.

Came to eat here on my last night in Yosemite National Park. I ordered the Country Fried Steak– which is one of my favorite dishes. The first item, a salad was very fresh! The fried steak and gravy were very good. They accompanied the main dish with mashed potatoes and sliced squash/zucchini. The mashed potatoes were a little bit cold, but were still good. Everything was great except the service. Maybe it was partly my doing– by sitting in the bar, my server seemingly completely forgot about me. While I had intended to order dessert, I lost my craving after a 45 min absence of the server. Overall, the food and atmosphere was good.

Stepping into this place felt like discovering a hidden gem, a delightful oasis on our recent trip! From the moment we walked in, we were struck by how immaculately clean everything was, even the restrooms – a detail I always appreciate. The vintage decor gave it such a unique and charming atmosphere, almost like stepping onto a movie set.
But it wasn’t just the ambiance that impressed us; the food was fantastic. We opted for FrenchFries, and honestly, it was a much better experience than you’d find at a typical chain. My hot chocolate was particularly good – rich and comforting. The onion rings were also a highlight, clearly fresh and perfectly crispy. While some items might not be made entirely from scratch, the overall quality was definitely there.
The service was top-notch. The staff were all incredibly kind and attentive, making us feel truly welcome.
For the quality of food and the lovely atmosphere, the prices felt just right. If you’re heading to or from Yosemite, do yourself a favor and stop here. It’s a highly recommended spot for a truly enjoyable meal.
Pro : Free car parking
Note: Restroom is for customers only !!

We stayed at the Yosemite Rose B&B down the road. As the Lucky Buck was close, we thought we would give it a try for dinner. We never went anywhere else for the entire week.
Food is basic American diner food, well prepared with generous proportions.
Service was fast and friendly even when they were swamped.
We will absolutely dine here when we return.

Cafe and diner vibe, but all the food and service was excellent. We ate at Ahwahnee Lodge the night before and this was better. The Red and Blue burger (and veggie version) and pie al mode were superb.

We stopped for a late lunch on our way back from Tenaya. Service was attentive and the food came out quick. We had the crispy chicken salad, chicken sandwich sandwiches and grilled chicken with soup. Everything was delicious and value for the money. Clean restrooms. They also provide a convenient packed lunch to take and picnic inside Yosemite that we will try next time. Surprisingly they had a separate vegetarian menu as well that we didn’t try.

Food was good. Some was made there. Some was bought. The chicken friend steak was good. The gravy was packaged in my option. It reminded me of the McCormick mix you buy in the store. The onion rings were great and fresh. The pretzel sticks were good but obviously not made there. The service was really good. The atmosphere was good too. Great place to stop when you just got out of Yosemite.

Their fish & chips were fantastic! Or maybe I was just hungry after the camping trip!
The place is decent size and the service is pretty fast, there is also little gift shop store to get your gifts. Great stop to refresh before heading to the mountains.

Stopped for lunch before visiting Yosemite National Park. The cafe was quite big and offered indoor and outdoor seatings. We ordered hot wings and Asian chicken salad. Both came quick and were delicious. The portions were good too. Price reasonable and very friendly and attentive service. Recommend.

The place was very nice and very clean, even the bathrooms. It looked like something out of a movie with a vintage style. The food was delicious and the staff was very kind to us. The prices were normal, and it’s much better to have breakfast here than at a Denny’s, for example. The hot chocolate was very good. I enjoyed every part of it 100% They feed the local cats and I was lucky because I could see one of them right in front of me through the window. In conclusion, it was a very pleasant experience. Recommended place.
