Lucio’s far exceeded my expectations. The ambiance is modern and romantic in an intimate space. The walls are covered with sensual artwork from the owner’s wife.

The food was outstanding across the board. The beef carpaccio was slightly salty but was still very flavorful. The spinach dip, served with crisp fried chips, was a comforting starter. The sea bass special with risotto and crab meat was delicious. The duck breast was tender, and the sea scallops with risotto were simply amazing.

For dessert, we ordered the vanilla bean creme brûlée, brownie with raspberry sorbet, and apple pie à la mode, The whole table agreed that the creme brûlée was the best. The other desserts were good as well but didn’t top the creme brûlée.

What truly made this a great experience was the service. Irina was remarkable and wears many hats – owner, artist, hostess and server. Despite being the only server in the restaurant, she managed many tables effortlessly. She was attentive, personable, and incredibly friendly, making us feel well cared for throughout the night. Her memory is impressive – she didn’t write anything down yet got every detail perfect.

There is valet and street parking available. Would highly recommend this restaurant, and I will definitely be back.

I agree with other reviews – everything was great here (to my surprise – not many people
know about this place). It not really fine dining, but definitely upscale.
Duck breast was perfectly cooked – which is very rare for duck in western restaurants. Salmon was tender and not dry at all. Also the hangar steak was tasty.
Minus points for Valet… Can’t stand this valet trent lately in Houston. Like people can’t park their own car anymore

Visited Lucio’s for the first time. The BYOB is a major plus only for $10 cork fee. They do have their own wine selection (pricey). The food was great. I would not say the food was amazing but it was great. Presentation of the plates is good, but nothing I would describe as amazing or spectacular. The food is a bit overprices in my opinion. You are looking at an average $45-55 an entree, with some in the $60+. Service was top notch, very attentive staff. The ambience of the restaurant is ok, I think the tables were a bit simple and not elegant IMO. There are 2 seating areas, we sat by the entrance in from of the kitchen. At first I thought how cool but I must admit that there was quite a bit of “smoke” in terms of what was being cooked such as fish etc that you could easily smell from the table and I particularly did not like that. I would definitely come back.

Omg! One of the best restaurants in Houston! Owned by a wonderful couple. The food is amazing. My wife favorite is the chicken and mine is the short rib with risotto. The crème brûlée is the best in the city. Also the owner is an amazing artist. Her art is on display. Simply a wonderful place.

Cute little place. BYOB as their wine is ok but $10 corkage for your own is nice. The food is really excellent quality and the service is very good. We enjoyed it and plan to return.

Don’t let the unprepossessing exterior fool you. Lucio’s is the real deal in fine dining! The interior is intimate and service is friendly and seamless. We loved the tuna, rack of lamb and mushroom soup. Everything was cooked to perfection and well worth the price. Valet parking is out front. Highly recommend!

Lucio’s was the best dinner we had while visiting Houston and it exceeded my expectations even from its great reviews! Shoutout to our waitress Irina. We had the lamb and the short rib. The short rib looked like a brownie on top of that yummy risotto and it melts in your mouth. The whole dish was impeccably crafted, with the greens and citrus foam melding so nicely into the flavors. The lamb’s herb crust was amazing and it was cooked perfectly. I don’t eat buckwheat basically ever and the buckwheat and chorizo side for the lamb was so good. Not pictured (because we ate it too fast) is the crab cake starter which has no fillers and all crab goodness. I’m a bit picky about crab cake and it was amazing.
And the dessert!! The apple pie absolutely blew me away. It was rich and perfectly sweet. I am a huge fan of a good creme brulee and the texture of theirs was perfect and the flavors were so smooth and delicious. The blueberries were mulled in some herb that sang with the creme brulee.

Quaint little space that’s packs a knock out punch!
The experience starts with Waitress irina’s knowledge of the menu and assertive personality. We ordered 4 mains and they were all incredible. Could not pick a favorite dish: the short rib melts away as soon as you touch it, the lamb was cooked to perfection : moist with crunchy exterior, the pork belly was a perfect bite. Then desert came…. Who knew bread pudding was so good. I love the French press coffee at the end an unusual but appreciated touch. The atmosphere is so laid but for such an upscale (taste and price) place. No one is rushing you off to turn over tables at the end of the meal.
Lovely experience we will be back

The crispy calamari and 72 hours short rib were delicious. The pork belly wasn’t as tender as I would have liked. The pork tenderloin was very tender. The pork belly and pork tenderloin could have had a pinch more seasoning. Overall, I had a pleasant night out.

Great food and service. I’m glad I finally got a chance to try this place out. It’s such a cute & quaint kind of place – great for a date night or dinner with a group of friends. The menu is small; but what they do with what they offer is phenomenal. Biggest scallops I’ve ever seen, and cooked perfectly. The pictures don’t do it justice. They are huge. Everything tasted delicious and the service was so friendly and accommodating. You can also BYOB or get a bottle from their reasonably priced wine list, you can’t ask for anything more.
