My only regret about this adorable cafe is that it isn’t in my home town.
Situated just off of Main Street, and directly across from free public parking, the cafe is easy to get to.
I had the nicest conversation with the staff. The food was wonderful, flavorful, and unique.
What a refreshing start to the work day.
Nicely done Lucille’s.

Fun place and great food. The homemade hot chocolate and beignets were a great start. The biscuits and smoked salmon eggs benedict were also fantastic with the potatoes and grits. Can’t wait to go back!

Visited Colorado for a wedding. Lucille’s was a +, as they had expresso drinks and one of the party favored them. It was 5-7 mins from the Air B n B we were at.
Went twice–first morning had The Eisenhower, eggs, grits or potatoes, meat choice and a biscuit. I chose cheesy grits. Great waitress, Great coffee…and how they made the biscuit must’ve been Creole magic!!
Next morning went back. Had a cheese omelet w/ham, regular grits, and the yummy biscuit. They are a staple w/ the menu item.

I highly recommend the biscuits and gravy! The biscuits alone are well worth the stop, especially with the house made strawberry rhubarb jam. The staff are friendly and attentive. Everything I tried was delicious (blackened salmon, cheesy grits, potatoes, beignets, and house ketchup).

Service was great. The restaurant is built into annold house. The floors creak, there are random walls everywhere, the wood panelling is ageing. In otherwords, the atmosphere is perfect for the food. The biscuits were huge and fluffy. Great food all around.

Creole cuisine in Colorado? This we had to try!
Loved the decor of the place and the service was great!
Items we ordered as of 6/2025:
– Beignets – $7.99 – Delicious and a must have. Not too sweet with a lovely pillowy center! With coffee this is a slam dunk. Just don’t make the same mistake I did and blow on it to cool it down (powdered sugar EVERYWHERE).
– Blackened Salmon – $18.90 – Great blackened flavor. If you like Cajun blackened flavor then you’ll love this. Salmon perfectly cooked as were the eggs! Cajun home fries was pretty good especially if you like that Cajun seasoning.
– Country Fried Steak – $16 – This was absolutely delicious. The sausage gravy was rich with a nice spicy kick to it and the steak itself was very tender and fried to perfection. I would 100% order this again.
– Complimentary Biscuits – Huge and delicious! The buttery crispy exterior gives way to a soft crumbly interior. Quite satisfying.
Overall we were quite happy with our meal and would happily return next time we’re in the area!

Me and my husband went here for lunch it wasn’t his first time and it was my second time going, we sat down and the older waitress with the black hair and tattoos came up and started waiting on us she asked us what we wanted to drink I got a orange juice and my husband got a sprite, as soon as she dropped it off my husband noticed black stuff floating in his drink on the top I’m a server myself and I understand mistakes happen so I kindly asked her for a new fresh drink and could she put it in a to go cup, she didn’t even apologize just said “oh okay” and walked off at this point I’m annoyed because again I’m a server and that’s not how you handle that. She brought back another drink in a to go cup I was hoping and praying she didn’t just dump the drink in another cup after I told her it’s gunk in the previous one, my husband looked into the cup and there it was black gunk at the bottom of the cup now like she just dumped in a different cup after I asked her for a fresh one, we decided to leave without ordering and definitely won’t be back after that weird distasteful interaction and as a server it’s better and more professional ways to handle things than acting like you just don’t care.

WOW, probably the best restaurant we have been to in a long time. The Po Boy had me raving to the staff. The sauce was perfect, and they even make their own hot sauce to go with the food.
My 2 year old LOVED the gumbo. The pancakes were good for the kids.
The biscuits were divine, and paired well with the homemade strawberry rhubarb jam.
The staff was super friendly. It was packed near closing, you can tell people love it.
We had some sort of juice that was really great too!
The bloody Mary was not that impressive. I would skip it next time.

Whenever I come back to Colorado, Lucile’s Creole Café is always my very first stop. The food here consistently delivers the comfort, flavor, and authenticity you hope for in classic Creole dishes. Their red beans and rice are absolutely outstanding rich, hearty, and seasoned perfectly. And of course, the beignets are a must. Fresh, warm, and delicious, they are truly some of the best you’ll find anywhere. Lucile’s never disappoints, and it continues to be a favorite of mine every time I return to Colorado. Highly recommended!
