Buon appetito. Lucia Ristonrante Winchester is a North Shore institution—opened in 1985 by Winchester residents Filippo and Anna Frattaroli. Located in Winchester Center, Lucia’s is the sister restaurant of the original Lucia Ristorante which opened in Boston’s North End in 1977. A step into Italy…only a few steps from home. Voted Best Old World Italian Dining (2018-2020) by Northshore Magazine. Open 7 days a week for indoor dining, pick-up, and delivery. Reservations are recommended. The outdoor patio is open from late spring through early autumn.

The waitstaff and service was great. They were all friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. Over all the food was okay but the portions were significantly off. The chicken parm was a small single piece of chicken over a small scoop of pasta, while every other portion including the kids pasta and meatballs were much bigger. We came here for my husbands birthday and specifically came here for the chicken parm and we’re very disappointed with it.

Had lunch last Tuesday with a blonde waitress Rene? She was delightful and very accommodating to my elderly mom. She made us feel like we were her only guests. Food was good as well we shared a salad and had a pesto pasta special. I will be booking a function for my daughter’s bridal shower and will request Rene? Kudos

We went to Lucia Restaurante on the recommendation of friends. One who insisted that we try it. It was my husband’s birthday(7 in our party- one a toddler) so I was nervous. Although parking was a challenge, everything else was wonderful and we immediately felt comfortable. From the smiling hostess that greeted us, to our very attentive server Eva/Ava to the ambiance, vibe and others there for dinner ++. The food was delicious right down to the complimentary Pizzelles. We will return and recommend to family and friends. Props to the Chef and staff at Lucia!

The food was excellent and the service impeccable. This is authentic Italian cuisine, you can get standards like chicken parm or lasagna, but I got the pollo focaccia and it was delicious, it reminded me of my Italian grandmother’s cooking. I went with a large party and they accommodate d us even with some extra people. The only thing is parking in Winchester center can be tough, I was surprised how busy it was on a Sunday night.

The Team Blue Tasting Crew stopped in for a meal at Lucia and we were blown away. We learned that Lucia was opened in 1985 and is a sister restaurant to the original Lucia in Boston. There are five locations total. The service was amazing; we were seated right away and our waitress answered all questions that we had about the menu. There was outdoor seating and the drinks were amazing. We got sangria and an espresso martini. Both were phenomenal. The menu had plenty of options and everything sounded delicious. We got the scampi appetizer and it was a perfect combination of garlic and butter with a hint of white wine. It was absolutely delicious. We already can’t wait to come back and try more items on the menu!

Scary bad experience here. My wife has a severe gluten sensitivity and even though she ordered the gluten free pasta, the staff mixed up her order with someone else’s.
The waitress came to tell us after we had been eating for about 5 minutes. She was sincerely apologetic and had the kitchen redo the dishes.
To add insult to injury, we were still charged extra $5 for the gluten free pasta. The manager never came, and the experience ruined our rare date night.
The place is charming but the way they handled this fiasco is well below even low expectations.
My meal which was clams and mushrooms with linguine actually came with spaghetti, and the sauce was really salty. I hope the restaurant fixes things because this is really sad and good restaurants are hard to find these days.

Very slow service, but fantastic food. We enjoyed the veal. It was very tender and flavorful. I wish they had more side than just pasta. They offer gluten free pasta for an upcharge.

Mediocre food. The antipasto was just some cold cuts and cheese from the grocery store. Pasta mains were nothing special. Homemade spaghetti was very soft, should be more Al dente. Service and ambience were good.
