I made reservations to celebrate a relative’s birthday. We wanted to stay in the area and I’m glad we did. The staff member (I don’t remember her name) who answered the phone was very pleasant and answered my questions. The day of, I got a confirmation call which was greatly appreciated. They were able to accommodate a cake that we brought in and also allowed for balloons. The staff was very friendly and even wished my relative a happy birthday. There was something on the menu that everyone could eat and the food met most of the dietary needs (low sodium, etc.). I’m glad we decided to try this restaurant. We will definitely add it to our rotation.

We went for the Puerto Rican food. It’s hard to find authentic PR food around here. I always thought this was a pizza place so never stopped in until a friend told me about the mofongo. I’ll be back because the service and the food was great.

Finally had the pleasure of stopping in and meeting JR himself. Restaurant itself is adorable with a comfortable decor. There are several spots for outdoor seating as well.

I was excited and happy looking forward to Puerto Rican food. I ordered 2 Puerto Rican items. My friend ordered fried calamari. She asked if it was heavily coated, told by a lovely waitress, that it wasn’t. It came, and it was heavily coated. Main problem was it tasted fishy, and was so tough she couldn’t even chew it. She tried to send it back. A man came out who said he was the boss. He chastised her telling her maybe she wanted rubber bands. It became loud, and I lost my cool, I cursed, but that was after he told us to get out of his restaurant. My friend and I were shocked, as we are sophisticated, educated women, who eat out frequently. We couldn’t get over what happened. We would never go back there again. Still looking for good Puerto Rican food.

We were recommended by a coworker to try it and the pizza was great, I had the spaghetti with meat sauce and comes with soup or salad! I had the chicken soup (best I had in a long time) we also had an alcapurria and a bacalaito! Freaking. No room for dessert but I definitely will try it next time. Awesome servir also!!! Yes I had to bring the pasta home!

Everything looked amazing and the garlic rolls were truly fabulous. Doughy and soft, with a bit of crispness on the edges, and so much oil and garlic! Bruschetta was served on very crisp and crunchy bread, more airy and dry than I’m used to, but nicely loaded with tomato and fresh basil. Everything we had tasted just a bit off from what I was expecting, less fresh, less flavorful. The balsamic here is more sweet than tart or acidic so prepare for that change in the profile. The atmosphere, while funky and eclectic didn’t feel particularly welcoming or make me want to come back.

I have lived right around the corner from this restaurant since it opened but have never taken a chance try it until now. I will never ignore them again! We ordered take out Friday night, and the food was incredibly delicious! Medium pepperoni pizza with extra cheese and 10 buffalo wings and 6 garlic rolls with tomato sauce for dipping. Now this is fantastic New York Italian fare, folks! And the buffalo wings tasted like nothing else we have ever had before! Incredible seasoning. I also took the time to get to speak with the owner JR, Yoleen his wife, and their employees, and what a fun bunch, very pleasant and kind and laid back. I will be back, I promise! Manja!

I ordered a Hawaiian and pepperoni pizza, it was soggy, the ham and pepperoni were the poorest quality. When I was going to pay I told the waitress that it wasn’t her fault but that the food was very bad, she called the owner who came over looking drunk and asked what the problem is and when I told him that the pizza was bad he immediately said well If you don’t like it, go away and don’t come back, I told him don’t be so rude and he said if I’m rude and I’m the owner, I don’t recommend this place, nothing is good there. The owner is nasty!! And the pizza has unpleasant flavor!!

1. The food is not fresh! Be careful! 2. The owner needs anger management classes. He’s psychotic! If you dare say that anything is wrong with the inedible food you got, this guy will go ballistic. I guess he thinks we should just eat whatever he serves and just shut our mouths! Do not go to this place!

First time trying this restaurant. Friend recommended because they have a small Puerto Rican menu. We ordered the Shrimp Monfongo and it was absolutely delicious!! My husband ordered the Pork chops with arroz con gandules and he loved it. It’s an Italian restaurant but to all the Puerto Rican’s out there. This place is a must try!!
