This is by far the worst Domincan food I’ve ever tasted. No flavor at all. How does a Dominican restaurant not season their meat? The chicharrone was disgusting, and the steak with onions even worse. Old sour meat with not a drop of seasoning, which would have at least masked the sour meat and the onions were barely cooked. Even worse, why would you put cold lettuce and tomatoes in the container with hot steak and onions? Even the rice was bad. I didn’t know it was possible to make bad rice but their rice had a weird taste.

My boss said the best pernil on Long Island is Lucas Dominican on Grand Ave in Baldwin. If you have any stops there, swing by and get yourself a large serving, white rice, smothered in pork gravy.

Moist, succulent pernil! Also, since she offered, the nice young lady offered las tijeras del pernil, for those who know, are the proper cutting tool needed to slather the skin on your order. Thick, crunchy skin placed purposefully on my plate!

It is a small establishment that is located in a shopping strip. It has a few sitting areas inside (2 or 3 tables) to eat. The food is on display for you to view. Although it is not mentioned on the menu, you can order a small, medium, or large dish. I ordered the medium rotisserie chicken with rice and beans, which was less than $12.50. The food was ok. Nothing special.

This is by far NOT Sancocho. This is food poisoning Soup… It’s raw chicken in oil with large sloppy cut up “vegetables”. The only “good” thing was their rice. Their beans no taste , watery. This is not Dominican food. Put a bad rep to true Caribbean food.

One of the best dominican food I had in a long time. Got the penril and 3 goples. Food was great, lady that served us was super nice and friendly. The restaurant was a bit cold tho. They give you alot of food, super cheap.

I just went there to get lunch, rice and beans and meat, normally I’ll get fried pork belly alone but today I got pork ribs and the fried pork belly (chicharrones) She had the audacity of weighing the chicharrones and charged me separately for it. It was over $20 for my lunch and I had asked for only two ribs and regardless she charge me all that money. Never going back again!
