The Oreo beignets were soooo good. The coffee options are extensive too. Great local place tucked away close to Tulane campus!

Food was delicious, honestly soooo good. But it was NOT worth $65 (everything you see in the picture was $65). Atmosphere was super cute, the employees were friendly. I got the Carolina BBQ sliders and the portion just looked so small. And then it came with rosemary chips? So did my husbands’ Cuban sandwich. We’re Cuban and that mix does not belong together lol. We paid $6 for the tiny cup of orange juice. Luckily, it was fresh squeezed and tasted delicious. We most likely will not be returning because we can’t justify spending that much for the actual amount of food we received.

Fantastic little coffee and sandwich shop walking distance from Tulane. We ordered half the menu but those grits we had they were the best we ever had. The creamy corn grits just blew us away, and a nice lite brothy gumbo loaded with meat.

Visiting NOLA and I have to say the short trip over to Luca Eats was worth it for the Fried Green Tomato BLT. Simple and delicious. Their coffee was great too! I had a hot Americano.
Great spot if you’re into checking out graveyards as well.

Luca eats is the best! I come here frequently whenever I’m home from college and it’s great everytime. I normally get a BEC or an apples and Brie sandwich with a strawberry matcha. The employees are always kind and write cute messages on the sandwich boxes. I’ll be back in the summer!!!

A map search of “breakfast near me” led me to this little GEM of a neighborhood bistro. First of all, the grits represent! They were delicious and creamy and flavorful. Some of the best I’ve had in NOLA! The sharp white cheddar is what makes an average bacon egg and cheese sandwich something special here. You should try it. Then they have this grill brie and apple sandwich. It’ll make you come back! Thanks for everything. Great service & quaint neighborhood bistro setting. Oh I’ll be back

Just ordered since COVID-19 hit the world. Before Luca Eats was great and had wonderful service. Today, it was mediocre at best. Portions are half what they used to be though they increased the price. They don’t even bother filling up their tiny takeout containers.
You also have to order online, and they won’t service you if you show up there. There are no paper menus, and they push everything to their website. So if you don’t have a data plan, you’re screwed. Like another reviewer said, they have become the face of gentrification.
Oh, and don’t bother asking for anything. Everything costs extra now. Asked for another dressing for my salad. $1.25 for a small ramekin.
Coffee was still excellent. Though it was $7.

As an Uber Eats driver who’s been delivering in New Orleans for years, I’ve been to Luca Eats multiple times — and every visit has been the same: long, unnecessary wait times of 15–20 minutes or more.
I came again today, October 30th, and while the front cashier was really sweet and professional, the two cooks in the back were not working diligently to get orders prepared. Instead, they were chit-chatting about things unrelated to work, even as tickets were waiting. That kind of behavior directly causes delays for both dine-in customers and delivery drivers.
It’s disappointing because this place has potential and good food, but the lack of urgency and accountability from the kitchen staff ruins the experience. I’ve given this restaurant plenty of chances over the years, hoping things would improve — but nothing has changed.
Unfortunately, this will be my last time coming here until management addresses these issues and starts treating timely service as a priority.

Food was good but I waited 50 minutes for a single order of beignets, I wouldn’t say it was worth waiting that long. I was also visibly in line to order and the staff let a group of 6 that came in 7 minutes after me cut in front and order first.

Grabbed some to-go for breakfast on a Saturday morning. I got the shrimp & grits and my friend got the steak & egg sandwich. The wait time was about 20 minutes longer than the quoted time, but we’re in the middle of a pandemic and recovering from a hurricane 2 days ago, so the few extra minutes was totally understandable. Judging from the number of names that were called as we waited, they had a ton of online orders. The portions were small to me. You might want some sort of side if you’re ordering a breakfast sandwich. My shrimp & grits were pretty bomb, truly, but the portion was also on the smaller side. The dine-in situation looked really nice, with ample outside seating that made me wish we were eating there. It’s a cute neighborhood place. The total with grat for our two items was just over $28. I’ll be back to sit outside and try more of the menu.
