What a lovely restaurant in Mt. Adams! The atmosphere is cozy yet lively. The restaurant is decorated with French posters and is very unique. The service was great. The food took a bit longer to prepare but was well worth it. Everything tasted fresh! They have a great bar selection and they offer coffee. We are hoping to try their brunch which we’ve heard is fantastic. Our dishes were warm and filling. The pepper steak was tasty, although slightly overdone. The cauliflower gratin was very satisfying, as well as the bouchee a la reine, which is a puff pastry filled with chicken and peas in a creamy, savory sauce. They were out of the lamb kebabs. We tried the cherry clafoitis, which is a warm bread pudding filled with succulent cherries.
Highly recommend that you try this lovely place! It’s great for a romantic night out!

I just had my birthday dinner here. The food and service were fantastic. I had never ordered muscles before and found theirs absolutely wonderful. Also, they have some of the best coffee I’ve ever had.

We stopped for lunch on our way home from an event downtown. It was our first time visiting. The place is very cute and has A LOT of decorations by the way of live plants, pictures, and sports memorabilia. We sat in the brighter front room by the window. There were few folks in the place by the time we left at 1:10pm.
Our server was very friendly and accommodating, but we wished he would have introduced himself (pet peeve of mine). We ordered the mussels and frites, the Poulet Basquaise, and a side of French green beans. The mussels were very traditional with a butter, white wine, garlic, celery, and onion prep, which is my favorite. I know fries are fries, but these were some of the best we have had in a long time. The Poulet (i.e. chicken dish) is like an open-faced chicken pot-pie with mushrooms, peas, bechamel, and puff pastry. It is true comfort food that we thought needed some acid or a touch of hot sauce. It is served with a huge bed of lettuce dressed in a balsamic vinaigrette and nothing else. The French green beans were tasty and garlicy, but were not true haricots verts. They were just green beans.
Parking was easy because it was noon on a Weds., but I can see how it would be hard on the weekends.

I had dinner here in November, and I am still thinking about the lovely food, service, and atmosphere. The frites were delicious, and the mayo was very unique and tangy! I had lamb and my boyfriend had chicken, both were delicious. I wish the lamb was a bit more tender, but the flavor was perfect. The dessert was the real star of the show. The Chocolate Mousse was incredible.
This place is not necessarily cheap, but I think is still affordable for a nice dinner out, and the value is exceeded when you factor in the environment and great service.
I plan to come back here this weekend for lunch and I am really looking forward to it!

Came here for dinner with some girlfriends and cannot say enough good things about this place! Luca Bistro is a relatively new gem in the mount adams food scene. It was packed on a weekday night and there isn’t that much seating so definitely call ahead or plan some extra time for your meal. They have a great selection of wine and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The food was well worth the wait. Everything we tried was spectacular. Cod was flaky and tender, mashed potatoes very rich and creamy on the side. The steak was the star of the show—so well seasoned and juicy! Lamb kebab was solid too. And the homemade crème brûlée was got for dinner was big enough to share between 3 people—the crispy torched top offset the sweetness. Do yourself a favor and swing by for a meal sometime!

We were visiting our son in Cincinnati and he insisted we go to Luca Bistro because it’s one of his favorites. I’m so glad he did! The food, drinks and atmosphere were fantastic, but it was our server Dakota who made the meal truly special. He went above and beyond to take care of us and make us feel welcome. I would go back in a minute!

Delicious rustic French cuisine and reasonably priced. Steak au poivre cooked exactly as requested, seared rare. Creamed spinach properly seasoned. Interior decor makes you feel like you are in France.
