We have wanted to visit Riverfarm for sometime. When going watch for the signs as the drive is easily missed. We did not eat during our visit wanting to have drinks on the water instead. In order to sit on the floating section it’s necessary to pay an additional 380 peso for access. If you stay on land there is no extra charge. Once down on the water it took our waitress a few minutes to approach for our order. We informed of the non available after our first order was not available. We ordered smoothies and a hot calamanci tea. It took 47 minutes to prepare the tea and 30 minutes for our smoothies. The restaurant looks that it may seat 50 plus people easily, including us there were 6 people during our visit.

We waited for more than an hour before our order was served. Food taste was ok but i think they have small servings considering that it’s pricey. Ambience was poor also for me, the river smells bad.

Food was really good. I recommend the fried Bangus, fish. And if American the fried chicken. It was hot so be sure to order the fresh coconut juice after your done drinking they cut it open so you can eat it.

Amazing view of the river/water extra table charge if you want to eat on top of the water.

Our visit to River Farm in La Union was enjoyable, thanks to its tranquil riverside setting and warm, accommodating staff. The food was fresh and flavorful, though it is priced on the higher side, and the waiting time was slightly longer than expected. Nonetheless, it’s a wonderful place to unwind and enjoy a peaceful meal by the river.

We went ate here yesterday. We were informed that waiting time for the food to be served is 1 hour after we place our order. We agreed to it, willing to wait but still expecting that food is good and worth the wait.

We ordered the Riverfarm Medley, dinengdeng, poque poque, bagnet pako ensalada, calamares, halo halo. Bagnet was served not freshly cooked, makunat ang balat at matigas na ang laman. Calamares has no sauce/dip. We asked for vinegar and catsup 3x and was served 20 minutes after 3 follow ups. Dinengdeng was served na lubog na lubog sa sabaw, cold and gulay is over cooked. Halo halo was not served at all. Sobrang labsa ng kanin. Worst is the RF Medley (inihaw na isda and liempo) it was burnt!!! In fairness, their Poque poque is okay.

We ended up leaving the food on the table, did not bother to have it packed. I only had the photo of the RF Medley (inihaw). Forgot to take photos of the other dishes coz of frustration.

Nipa huts floating & bamboo everywhere, view of the river never ceases to amaze me. Food is tasty & really fresh even without sauce/dips, affordable & friendly staff. Highly recommended, though i was hoping to see tempura on the menu in the future.

Review update:
Unfortunately the service, food and availability of seafood is declining in the past few months.
You can call yourself lucky if all dishes on the menu are available, but the most shocking was that they ran out of Tilapia even with big fish ponds on the premises. The quality of the dishes depending on the cook, the dish tastes different at any given visit in the past, until to a degree that we couldn’t eat the dishes because it was totally over salted.
Service is slow and partially unfriendly.
We have to reduce our rating according the experience of the last 3 month from 4 to ONLY 2 .

Initial Review:
Hidden place on the river, relaxing and quiet.
Friendly staff, fresh seafood right from the pond.
All the time we come here we order Kilawing, they prepare it like we want it, spicy with calamansi. If they would only add some coriander.
The shrimp with ampalya are great, so are the calamaris.
Unfortunately only 1 CR directly next to the kitchen

Dropped by LU RiverFarm Seafood Restaurant and seated at the floating huts along the river. You can see the Tilapia and they have golden colored. Ate the garlic buttered prawns, paksiw pampano and mixed grilled. Yummy food under the summer heat and only the electric fan will cool you down.

Food was nice but when it came to the seafood serving it was miniscule, but wonderful flavors still. Service was a bit slow as usual, but waitress at that time was attentive. Was there for late lunch around 2:30PM and was able to get out at around past 4PM. We were a group of 6, one being a child.
