I stopped by for lunch today since I saw they are doing hotdog specials on Thursday on Instagram. This was their first one and it was a Detroit coney dog. They were so good! Plus they baked their own buns which really took it to the next level. I also tried their house made chips – omg these were incredible. So light and crispy and seasoned so well! They do have a few tables outside to sit at. The staff was all very friendly. I will absolutely be back!! I also love that they repurposed the Dog House building since it is so cute.

A neighborhood gem for sure! I’m typically don’t eat meat or fish but this was an exception. The smoked trout is smoked perfectly that it’s not overwhelmingly smokey flavor but a nice balance. I really enjoyed the home made potato chips too. A great place to pick and have something homemade. Definitely will return.

Well, that was fantastic! Dogs were perfect, chips were great, onion dip was delicious! My only gripe is the dip has to be easier to scoop with the chips or the chips need more structural integrity. I had to bring in a spoon for the assist lol…there were no survivors for the photo…
Parking was a breeze in their large lot, I went on a Thursday afternoon around 11:30am and didn’t have to wait too long for my order. I’ll definitely be back and add this place to my normal rotation

For anyone that needs to know, this is a walk up, not a walk in (no seating). Parking was pretty easy, but I can see that being a problem with popularity. Currently not accepting takeout or online orders, but hey it’s Day 5.
Line was pretty short when I got there at 11:45am and turnaround was maybe 10 minutes.
On to the food…
The roasted carrot soup was lovely. Could have used a little more texture than just the pepitas and maybe add a mint leaf.
The housemade chips were outstanding. Every chip crispy and well-seasoned. Must have.
The Pastor sandwich was killer. Needed 5 napkins. Every bite so flavorful and the semolina roll just soaked up so much goodness. Gamechanger
The Barkie was fine. Tasted good, but the wrap didn’t really save it from getting hard. I would microwave it in a damp papertowel, and it would probably be better.
Definitely would get the sandwich and chips again.

LRB has great food and the drinks are super too. I want to try their desserts soon. The staff is super friendly. Even though there were several folks in line in front of me, my order came quickly. I went on a Thursday which is throwback to the days when it was a hot dog stand. The hot dogs are the best in town and their buns are primo!

Dannnngg those were good sandwiches!! Unique menu, same price point as downtown sandwich shops, but with better portions! We personally felt that LRB blew some of the long-lived local faves out of the water. Get over there and support an awesome chef with a cool concept. Make sure you try the homemade chips and pickles! Dog friendly, too! 🙂

The staff were very friendly, but I found the sandwiches to be very overpriced for what you get. I had the pastor sandwich which had a good flavor, but the bread was very dry. Others in our group tried the CC and the pastrami, and the pastrami seemed to be the best of the three.

Based solely on food and service, I would rate this five-star. It’s excellent. Great concept. Unfortunately, the location is tough. As a neighbor, I really appreciate having a great lunch option nearby to pickup and take home. But that’s really the only viable option unless you want to sit close to the road at a metal table in a distressed area and hope nothing bad jumps off. I hope they make it as a takeout place. They deserve praise and support for vision, creativity, and courage. Remember, the food is excellent!

I stopped by here the other day to give it a try. Based on the reviews I read, I thought it would be a hands-down 5-star meal. It didn’t live up to a 5-star eatery for me.
I had The Pastrami, sweet black tea and barkie.
The regular pastrami sandwich was good, but not the best I’ve ever head. For $16, I expected more meat as well. But it was good, don’t get me wrong. Just not a “wow, this is the best sandwich I’ve ever eaten” good.
I’m not a fan of the sweet black tea (it comes in a bottle). My kind of tea is a Bojangles sweet tea.
The one very disappointing thing was the barkie. I don’t know what it was supposed to be. I’m guessing a brownie, but boy, I have NEVER tasted anything like it. It has a VERY unusual taste, it’s not sweet, and it was not moist. I would not recommend the barkie to anyone, sorry.
I might give it one more try, but it’s hard to get past paying $16 for a sandwich.

We had the pastrami sandwich, homemade chips and roasted onion dip! AMAZING! The pastrami was tender & warm warm, the bread was super fresh and the portion was just right (we actually split the sandwich) – the mustard aioli was yummy – just a bit of zing to add to the flavor (not mustard-overwhelming).
The chips were great – and the onion dip was fantastic!
It was crowded when we arrived, and our sandwich took about 20mins – but it was worth the wait! The staff was hustling and were turning out orders quickly – but there were just a lot of order. Again – it was worth the wait!
NOTE: It’s a mainly takeaway joint – there are a couple of outside tables – but we had a great tailgate picnic!
