I started coming here for the stuffed crabs, yummy! Today i wanted some popcorn shrimp. They were fresh and my food was hot, but the shrimp and the fries were so over cooked that I will never order that again. The shrimp was hard and tough. I didn’t eat all day and it was already almost 3p.m. so I ate what I could and took a Pic of the rest. I asked for Tartar Sauce and got what looks like mayo. Very Disappointed!

I can’t remember how I found out about Love’s seafood but I wanted to give it a try. I know I’ve passed the one on Springhill but have never been. The Azalea road location is much closer to me. Anyway, I was checking their menu because I wanted to do takeout. I saw that they had a soft shell crab poboy. That sounded very interesting to me. I’d never had a crab poboy before. I ordered that and it came with fries.
I went to pick up my food. When I was on the phone ordering the person taking my order informed me that I could pick up my order through the drive thru. That was not a problem. He explained that the inside of the restaurant was closed. I’m not sure when the inside closes but I ordered around 7 or so. Like I said that wasn’t a problem for me. I was in the drive thru for a few minutes and picked up my food fairly quickly.
When I got home I was eager to find out what this poboy was about. I peeked at the sandwich and was a little underwhelmed. To be fair, I didn’t really know what to expect. I think I thought the poboy would be fuller than it was. Now when I bit into the sandwich it was really good. It had a lot of flavor it just was a small sandwich.
The fries with my poboy were pretty good. No complaints there.
Even though I was a little underwhelmed with the poboy I still want to go back and try other items on the menu. The seafood boils look delicious.

So good!! The food is so fresh, and I loved everything we got! The seafood boil with crab legs, shrimp, potatoes, corn & sausage IS BOMB!!!

The only reason I’m giving 2 stars is the popcorn shrimp was decent. The fries have no flavor (like a raw potato out of the dirt has more flavor), the hush puppies were not done, and the sweet tea tasted like it was a week old with some sort of chemical flavor. Just gross!!

The service was great very sweet people. My order was a call in order and they waited to box my order until I got there which was very much appreciated. Now the food needs some salt the fries had no salt or any seasoning of any kind on them. The batter on the fried fish and shrimp could have used extra seasoning the flavor was lost in the process of frying was not good at all.

Drive through service was quick. Food was amazing. I got the soft shell crab and gumbo. Just like my momma used to make. I was very impressed with the freshness and crispy crab and the gumbo is delicious. I’ll be back whenever I’m in mobile.
