At Loves Dumpling House, we craft handmade, fresh dumplings that celebrate China’s diverse culinary traditions. Our menu features a variety of flavors and styles, including our signature soup dumplings, each made to order with rich, savory broth.
We pride ourselves on quality, using the freshest ingredients and creating a welcoming environment for families and friends with our delicious handmade dumplings.

We were greeted with smiles and friendly service. We ordered as much as we could to sample a little off everything. We enjoyed everything. Really there wasn’t anything that we didn’t like. The pan fried dumplings had that crispy sear on them that added a crunch when you bit into it. Yummy! I also can not eat cilantro so I asked if they could not add any. Throughout the whole meal I only had one meal that had a bite of cilantro in it. So I was really happy- most times I get ignored.

45 min wait on a Friday evening. The place is tiny. Dumplings were good. Did not blow me away but good. Noodles okaaay. Staff was friendly but could tell they were slammed and over it. I’d go back to try some of their other dumpling options.

Dumplings powerhouse!
Service and atmosphere:
This is very busy restaurant so expect some wait time.
The wait is worth it.
The staff were very friendly, helpful, attentive, and knowledgeable so make sure to ask for their recommendations.
Food:
Probably the best dumplings we have had so far.
Freshly made, generous filling, great flavours and spot on seasoning.
There are many items to choose from so we will be regular guests here.
Pricing:
$$ affordable and worth it!

I originally had plans to eat at a Puerto Rican-Chinese restaurant for Thanksgiving and even confirmed they would be open, but when I arrived they were completely closed. Instead of letting the holiday go sideways, I placed a to go order here and it turned out to be the best decision. I live an hour away, and even with the drive home every dish was still delicious. The pork buns were a standout for me personally: fluffy, flavorful, and absolutely worth the trip. Despite being packed, the staff was kind, fast, and very welcoming. They truly turned our night around and earned new loyal customers. I will definitely be making that drive again.

Dumplings were just ok, nothing to brag about honestly. Outside their average dumplings, the other food on the menu were horrible. The restaurant atmosphere is even worse. So LOUD inside the restaurant, you can’t even have a normal conversation. Chairs and booths are so uncomfortable to sit. And of course service wasn’t the best either. When we told the server that their other food on the menu wasn’t that good, her response was ‘well, we are a dumpling restaurant ‘. If that’s the case then don’t serve other food outside of your average dumplings. Quite frankly, there are so many other dumplings & Chinese restaurant around Houston that are way, way better. We gave this place a shot seeing the high reviews online but don’t be fooled, the high ratings are not always true and might be coerced by giving out free stuff if the guest leaves a 5 stars review.

We were visiting from Toronto, one of the best places on earth to get really good Chinese food so we were skeptical about how good this place could be. I must admit, we were greatly surprised at the quality of the food and the variety of offerings. Coupled with a very friendly and attentive staff and you’ve got yourself a winning combination. Chinese food isn’t always first on my list of places when I’m visiting Texas but this one has definitely been added as a must-have.

I had it delivered after having gone multiple times and there were 20 minute waits. I thought that would mean it was super good but I thought it was just okay. The thumb buns were my favorite! I should’ve just got two orders of those. The soup dumplings were so so, I thought they were a little small. Maybe I need to try in-person and see if that makes a difference.

Busy place, even on a Thursday night. We signed in at the kiosk and waited 15 min or so. Green beans with garlic and the fried rice were both solid choices. The sour soup dumplings were very good. The soup dumplings were bland, even tho they were nice and full of broth. Just lacking flavor. Eould not order again. Staff was friendly and fairly easy to flag down. Restaurant is small and quite loud but the three of us could still hear each other. Considering how much great Asian food there is in Houston, I wouldn’t make the drive over to Katy for soup dumplings alone.

Dec 2025 Update: Service remains spotty. Came for lunch again. Initial service … order taking and speed of delivery is good, looking for someone to deliver the check is still slow.
Had cucumber salad, steam pork bun, wet noodles, pork and crab soup dumpling, and wonton in chilli oil.
While good, I would not get most of these again. The cucumber salad was bland. The steam pork bun was ground pork instead of pork belly (which the server claimed). The chilli oil at Wannabao is better. The crab and pork wasn’t much different than the pork soup dumpling so not worth the additional price.
All that said, I will come back and try other things. The stand out dish remains their pork soup dumplings.
Oroginal: I would give this place higher than a 4, but not a 5. Really good soup dumplings. Really good pork shrimp and chive dumpling. The third was good not great. The place was very busy for sunday lunch. It is a small place and the service is not well organized. So while the initial order was quick as well as the food from the kitchen, trying to flag down someone for a togo and the check was a challenge.
When we sat down, I saw another family waiting for their check and togo box. The lady eventually got up and got a togo box from near the kitchen entrance.
Even though we flagged down someone and asked for the check and togo box, they didnt come. We ended up getting the togo box ourselves and got up … to go to the front to pay… found our waiter walking around and he took our payment on his pad.
Come for the food, be patient with the service when the place is packed.
Hopefully they can get their service situation sorted out as I would love to come back and try other things here.

One of the best dumplings places in the Houston and surrounding areas?!
Quite possibly the answer is yes.
I loved every single dumpling we got here. The best were anything with the braised pork. That thing was very unique and packed with flavor.
The spicy and sour dumplings here are also very good.
Is it worth the drive? Maybe, but if you’re in the area, a definite yet!
