The service was not welcoming, the food was ok at it’s best. My bread was burnt and sandwich wasn’t the greatest. I’ve been here for years and the quality has just went down, now I prefer the oak Park location, at least if they’re rude the food is good. I hate that staples in Detroit are losing their quality due to rude and unprofessional people.

I used to love Lou’s but I left the area and lost touch. Tonight I was close by and decided to check them out.
I am the most disappointed than I think I’ve ever been with a restaurant purchase.
The service was fine but I was surprised at how few customers there were for a Friday night. There was only 5 customers in a place where you used to have to stand in line for 15 minutes to place an order.
When I got my sandwiches home I quickly found out why. I can sum it up in 3 words… SUPERMARKET DELI MEAT.
The prices have gone up but the quality is just gone.

This spot goes crazy with the Sandwiches. The menu is huge and each item slaps. Prices are decent and they don’t skip out on the ingredients. I ordered the
#8 Kevins Bacon. I also had the chance to try their reuben. Man! Flavors make you wanna hum.
Customer service is very much “Detroit”
You get what you get. When you come be respectful, be patient, and mind your business. The place looks like a regular deli with plenty of seating inside and parking outside. Open late as well so it’s good for a late night craving. Definitely recommend to come through if you’re in the area.

Spent $72.88, for old meat, meat was hard and dark in most spots, and bread was hard… too hungry to take it back, and too far to drive back for a refund. This is the first bad experience I had with Lou’s ever. The guys can clearly see the meat when putting it on the sandwich. We moved the discolored dark meat and tried to enjoy the sandwiches, what a waste of money.

Ordered via door dash link from Google for pickup.
I was charged.
I showed up, I had no number, they had no record of my order.
We talked a few times, there was another Jason with a huge order. I only had a David’s Drip.
I never got my food, they could not locate my order.
I am just going to have my CC charge back thos transaction. It is what it is, I would love to try the food.
I will update of we can get this to work next time.

Well, I literally haven’t been here in about 25 yrs easy!!! Of course, the price of everything has jus about doubled, though! I believe they are cashless, but will accept tips. Your order comes up pretty fast, but it takes a while for you to actually get it as the lady is doing too many other things as to actually give you your order. It’s pretty ridy inside and jus as i remembered when my dad use to bring us here when we were much younger. I would return as the fries were delicious. I wouldn’t get the eggs rolls again as they were skinny and tough. Not worth the price. And the chicken gumbo was ok.

It’s in the hood but worth the drive, trip n the whole morality risk. We tipped um $20 (70$ order) n you’d have thought no one has ever tipped them n they made sure we had everything we needed and some
Corn beef onion roll cheese n fries

Okay, as with everything the price has went up (has been for some time now) and the sandwich seems smaller. I will be rethinking on buying anymore corn beef sandwich for a while. Lou’s deli still by far is the BEST place to get a sandwich.

One of my favorite childhood restaurants to visit. Ordered the counter-man’s treat with a large lemonade. This is the only place I come to for koolaid and lemonade drinks. Some good and delicious comfort food after a long day. The best corned beef restaurant in the city. 😉 10/10
