This was a great dining experience for us, we had the trout appetizer which had a complex and unique flavor profile that was smoky, rich and sour at the same time. Oysters were great, and the iberico pork was cooked perfectly. The eagle fish had great flavor as well. The service and the ambiance there is very good, and the portions are generous for this level of restaurant.

A relaxing atmosphere paired with an interesting and diverse vegan menu. I had a wonderful time there, enjoying both the ambiance and the unique flavors offered. The service was exceptional, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a calm, tasty, and welcoming dining experience!

We spent New Year’s Eve at Le Faubourg in Berlin for what was supposed to be a six-course tasting menu with wine pairing. The total cost for two people was around 4,000 DKK, which should guarantee a refined gastronomic experience and impeccable service — especially in Germany. Unfortunately, this was one of the most disappointing restaurant experiences we’ve ever had.
From the very beginning, the service was chaotic and unprofessional. None of the dishes were properly explained. At one point, the waiter even served trout while calling it salmon, which seriously questions the basic knowledge of the staff.
On three separate occasions, food was served without any drinks. We had to actively ask for the wine pairing that was supposed to accompany each course. This completely breaks the flow of a tasting menu and should never happen at this price level.
Prior to our visit, I clearly informed the restaurant in writing that I cannot tolerate wine of any kind. Despite this, I was welcomed with a glass of Cava — an astonishing oversight and frankly unacceptable.
The table setting was equally confusing. The cutlery made no sense in relation to the menu. Instead of the classic “outside-in” structure, we ended up eating fish with a spoon, while the longest knife and fork were left unused at the end, with no courses remaining.
Communication was another major issue. The waitstaff barely spoke English and appeared awkward, insecure, and untrained. This is simply not acceptable for a restaurant presenting itself as upscale and international.
I had requested a cocktail pairing instead of wine. What I received was six nearly identical drinks: vodka mixed with various sodas. No creativity, no balance, no craftsmanship — just diluted, boring drinks. After six cocktails, I felt absolutely nothing. These were closer to children’s drinks than professional cocktails.
To make matters worse, the food was rushed out at an absurd pace. Courses arrived back-to-back so quickly that we felt pressured to leave the table just to avoid having the next dish “thrown” at us.
Overall, this was an overpriced, poorly executed, and deeply disappointing experience. Le Faubourg failed on service, communication, pacing, beverages, and basic professionalism. We will not be returning, and we cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone expecting quality or value for money.

Love head chef Lukas Hackenberg’s exciting interpretation of contemporary French cuisine while exploring sustainably farmed fish from the Müritz & locally sourced fresh ingredients.

It’s a perfect place for lush lunches or scrumptious dinners. Loved every single bite and sip!

Food was good, three course dinner and it did not fail. Service was kind, but a bit slow side. I can recommend if you look for good restaurant in Berlin.

Excellent food, exceptional service and great value for lunch. Two course for €19 or three course for €23 including water and coffee. Salmon/carrot/coconut soup was awesome. We also got the veal and sea bass which were very good.

#happyfood_travel visited the fine dining @lefaubourginberlin restaurant at the Sofitel Berlin Kurfürstendamm. New Chef , Sebastian Leyer, Performs Culinary Miracles in modern French and Casual Chic style
At the heart of his work is a combination of regional products, non-waste production, sustainability and classic French technology. We tried the next menu: – eggplant with pickled radish and soy vinaigrette – mackerel with onions and black sour cream – “everything about celery” from the Wolkensteiner Hof local farm -burned cabbage with ginger cream -roots of a sunflower
And for dessert, yogurt ice cream with poppyseeds and almonds
Sommelier did a great job, excellent wine pairing and as a result we had an unforgettable evening!
We highly recommend this restaurant for a special dinner with wine and modern French cuisine!

Entree – “everything about celery” из локальной фермы Wolkensteiner Hof

Elegant dining experience offering French cuisine in either a traditional or experimental format. The different meat options (or vegatables) can be prepared in either a traditional French style or as an experimental format. Excellent service and wonderful experience overall
