The restaurant was great for my wife and I, not that many people. We were hoping the appetizer came out a little sooner than the dinner but we loved the gator bites. My wife got the cat fish platter I give that a 5/5 and I’m not a huge fan of cat fish, the Mac and cheese was so so. I got the home cooked combo I give it a 3.5/5 mainly because of the jambalaya, I loved the okra though. I wasnt a huge fan of the red beans and rice. But the service was great!

Was in Round Rock for weekend anniversary and felt like some seafood but didn’t want to go to a large chain restaurant so we blindly choose this one. Upon entering we noticed the place looked dated and had no appeal but since we chose to walk there we figured we try it anyway. The staff was very friendly and quickly took our order, we had the fried alligator and the bourbon shrimp fir appetizers. The gator was great but the burbon shrimp lacked and it was just too much bread. We also had the fried shrimp and fish tacos and we were not prepared for the amount of food we got!! Everything was tasty and very enjoyable and did not disappoint as far as the food goes. Definitely recommend trying if you are looking for decent portions and tasty food.

I will start by saying I do not know much about Cajun food, so I cannot speak to the authenticity but the food is delicious. I ordered off the house specialties section and was not disappointed. Will recommend and myself go back to taste something else.

Also, they make their desserts in house and they were also amazing. I shared a dessert, but next time we need to each get our own so I do not have to share lol

Excellent late lunch/early dinner. Portions are spot on. Crawfish Etouffee was very warm and thick. Fried Frog legs were pretty good, first time I eat them. Chocolate pie was perfect. There was nothing wrong with the flavors. I’ll come back for sure.

Went here for the first time in about 15 years. The shrimp gumbo was good, not great. The alligator was good, not great. The fries that came with our son’s chicken tenders were soft and limp, and looked like they were fried in old grease. I had the salmon, it was cooked well, not didn’t have a lot of seasoning, which is bad considering it is served on a bed of plain jasmine rice. My husband ordered the chicken and sausage jambalaya, which is supposed to be a spicy dish. It wasn’t spicy and came in a bowl with a large ladle of some sort of sweet tomato sauce around it. The flavors just did not mesh well. Our waitress wasn’t very attentive. We used to consider this place a bit of an upscale spot for a date night meal, but now that ownership changed since we last went, it was a huge let down. Probably will not be back.

This place has an easy, welcoming vibe. There were families with children and large parties. The servers were friendly and helpful. The boudin egg rolls were tasty. The ettoufee was very light in color, but had a nice flavor and texture. The fried seafood had a breading that was a little too heavy and needed better seasoning. The gumbo looked good! They had a nice little beer selection in bottles, including some Abita beers from Louisiana, but a restaurant this size in this nice part of town really should have a few taps going.

Flavorful and the closest to Louisiana food we’ve tried in Texas. Love the vibe of this restaurant, very rustic, the food was amazing and the service even better. We got the fried catfish with etouffee as a main and crabcakes as starter. Found this place in the middle of nowhere on our way to Austin and I think we made the perfect choice

We visited Louisiana Longhorn cafe recently. We heard about the restaurant and wanted to get some Cajun food. The restaurant is located in downtown round rock. Drive around and you can find a space to park. The atmosphere and decor was bayou like as I have seen around Acadiana. The food was more Tex-Cajun the ragin cajun. I am used to the deep roux buttery sauces with sufficient cayenne pepper. The food was more subdued. I shared meals with my college yute. The side tossed salads were good. The fried snapper was perfect – crisp, thick and soft inside. The crawfish/shrimp sauce was mostly a creamy type sauce with few seafood parts. It was okay, but not super flavorful. The chicken creole was interesting, again, okay, but not super flavorful like Lafayette style cajun food. The fries were good too. Prices weren’t bad.

Had a delicious dinner here. Great service, friendly and helpful. Lots of menu items. Bone in rib eye steak was seasoned and cooked well. Check out their lunch and happy hour specials. Great dessert options. Salt and pepper shakers need a run through the dishwasher.
