My goodness, I got back this week from a trip out of town and going here is my first place back was an incredible Texas BBQ experience. From the pulled pork to the smoked turkey to the moist brisket along with the mac & cheese, and the Tres leches corn… it was all incredibly delicious and mouthwatering! The Brisket and mac and cheese was top tier and worth getting. It’s outdoors and the service was great as well. 10/10 recommend.

the baked potato with brisket is probably the best bang for your buck on the menu. The most recent time i went i noticed the white queso on the baked potato was replaced with just regular shredded cheese and was so disappointed!!! please bring it back!! with that being said, the brisket, sausage and ribs are so tender, smoky and flavorful. this is absolutely one of the very few BBQ places that stays consistent with the quality of food they put out.

I was initially drawn to Louie’s because they have BBQ baked potatoes, but then I discovered they have deviled egg potato salad (!!) so we opted for meat and sides to share for two.
We got the following which was more than enough food:
• 1/2lb lean brisket – fantastic
• elote – zero complaints
• birria beans – delicious but didn’t taste much like birria
• and deviled egg potato salad – also tasty, I just wish the potato chunks were a little softer
It’s a food truck with smokers on site. There was plenty of seating and it was very calm for a Saturday afternoon. We were able to walk up and order fairly quickly, and the food was out in about 5 minutes. I’ll be back to try the baked potatoes.

Hands down the best BBQ I have ever had. I don’t have photos because I ate everything, which honestly says a lot. Every bite was amazing and you can really taste the care and homemade quality in the food. The deviled egg salad was very good, and the customer service was the best. Someone in line in front of me said this place was worth driving states for, and I completely agree. I will definitely be a regular here.

I love barbecue so I love to try any new BBQ place. When we found ourselves hungry for dinner in Buda, we decided to try this awesome food truck. Their brisket and BBQ sauce are very good. The brisket is so tender & delicious. There is outdoor seating so if you had a dog, you would also at least be able to take him there too. I try to go every time I’m nearby. . Highly Recommend this when you are in beautiful Buda.

This place is run from a trailer and has a large outdoor area with picnic tables. Ordered a sliced brisket sandwich. This came with sliced picked jalapeños. The sandwich was huge with thick slices of brisket, some coleslaw, pickles, and red onions. The combination was tremendously delicious and did not need any BBQ sauce as it stood on its own. I very much enjoyed every bit of the sandwich while popping slices of jalapeños to add some heat. The outside environment in the evening was very refreshing and relaxing while dining here. This place knows how to prepare excellent food!

I have been to a lot of the big name bbq places since I moved here, but if you haven’t had bbq here, you’re sleepin! Price was fair. Ate here on a random Thursday afternoon for lunch, and got fresher food than a Friday night at Terry Blacks. Especially if you live in Buda, this is where you need to get your bbq fix.

Located off the Main St in Buda, this little BBQ food truck has a large offering of menu items and a great little area to sit outside. Their brisket was pretty good, just lacked some of the smokiness flavor that I look for in Texas BBQ. The jalapeño queso sausage was great! They have a variety of meats, so I’m excited to try some different things next time. Great location and easy gravel lot parking in the back. The customer service was good as well, very friendly employees.

So we came by because my brother wanted to try some barbecue from here I’ve had food from here before I feel like it was better but I don’t know. I just feel like I couldn’t differentiate this from Rudy’s and that sucks cuz I really want this to be better than Rudy’s. I ordered a brisket taco and a pulled pork taco with some mac and cheese It was just okay Mac and cheese was just okay I will say though they had some pickles that they like seems like they make maybe and it had sliced onions or radishes in it and it was really good. Parking was a little hard and there are no restrooms here. Not entirely sure if I’ll come back.

This makes me so sad to give 2 stars! We’ve loved Louie’s since 2021. But we are so disappointed that the menu has changed. The Mac and cheese is just velveeta and noodles. We miss the queso! The turkey was dry and super salty. The brisket did not pass the bend test. Unfortunately this was the last time we’ll be visiting – time to find a new local spot to support.
