Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria exceeded all expectations! We traveled all the way from Texas to try it, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. The wings were hands down some of the best we’ve ever had—perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and absolutely memorable.
The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the visit even better. You can tell they truly care about their customers and take pride in what they do. From the service to the food, everything was top-notch.

We were in Elgin for the Metal Threat Festival but I couldn’t be in the area without some of the area’s finest pizza. I knew I’d only have one chance during my stay so I did a.bunch of research before the trip and decided on Lou Malnatis.
No regrets. From the appetizer, to the local brews, to the best damn deep dish it was an amazing experience. Now to try to replicate that pie in my WA kitchen.

Went here for the first time to try, also for the first time, the well known “Deep Dish Pizza”.
The pizza was very good. Had some appetizers and they were also good.

My second time going to a Lou Malnati’s while visiting Illinois. Salad and deep dish pizza was very good! We had a larger group and it was nice to have the middle of the table spin so we could pass each other items.

Was a little disappointed with all the Chicago Deep Dish hype for this place. Pizza was just ok. Nothing spectacular. It was loud but you could still talk to the person across the table. One downfall for us was the number of stairs and no convenient handicap entrance. There were 2 floors and I could only see stairs to access the upper floor. This is not conducive to handicap or elderly.
On a positive note, the server was amazing! We came in with 35 people; half of them were 9 year old hockey players. We made a reservation beforehand so they knew to expect us. They had the space set up and ready for us even though a few people were 10-15 mins early. There was 1 server in our area and she did a great job not only serving the food, but dealing with the kids too.
This is not a place I would go out of my way for, but it is good food and good people.

We really liked this restaurant. Friends from home recommended Lou Malnati’s to us and we are glad we visited. The Cesar salad was very yummy and the deep dish Chicago style pizza was great. Service was friendly and attentive.

It was pretty cool eating Lou Malnati’s Pizza just outside of Chicago. The Pizza was delicious, the Parmasen Wings were awesome, the Buffalo Wings were outstanding and the blue cheese was fantastic. The service was really good. Michelle R. ensured our semi complicated order was perfect. We made reservations so we were seated right away. Our wings came quickly and by the time we finished eating wings the pizza was ready so it felt like we basically didn’t wait at all.

Lou’s traditional pizza’s are all really good. The Lou deep dish we ordered was delicious and we loved it! The butter crust was really flavorful and rustic. The fresh ripe tomatoes on top really added a nice touch.
Where I was really disappointed with the speciality buffalo pizza, they more than delivered on the traditional menu listed pizza offerings. All their pizzas are really good. I think because I ordered the “buffalou” specialty the first day it was on the menu, they may have had to work out the pizza techs a bit when creating them in the kitchen.
The Italian beef was excellent. The beef was so tender and they generously packed meat and peppers on the bread. Very good with the au jus on the side.
In any case, pizzas are always hot, service is always very good and they follow-up with you if there’s any issue with your order to make it right. Carryout area is fast and efficient.

We tried the large deep dish Buffa-Lou Pizza as we saw it advertised. We were really looking forward to it as it looked really good.
I called my order in and Ryan was super nice, helpful and took time to answer questions as we wanted our pizza on the well done side.
The pizza during pickup smelled amazing! We absolutely loved the crust and there was a generous portion of chicken and cheese blend evenly distributed all over the pizza. The flavor of the buffalo sauce had a good flavor as it was tangy and not hot.
The 2 drawbacks were that the buffalo sauce was not IN the chicken. It was ON the pizza which really didn’t work for us. It was like plain chicken breast chunks separate from the sauce. The orange sauce was all over our plates and hands. The flavor was there but the way they put this together wasn’t to our liking. Secondly, the top of the pizza had a slick film of oil (probably from the cheese?). I applaud them for offering something new but think the deep dish Buffa-Lou pizza missed the mark.
I wouldn’t order it again and probably wouldn’t try any “limited edition” flavors. Their regular topping offerings on thier pizza’s are really good!

Food and service are very good. Atmosphere is basic. Restaurant is in an old building and not fancy or trendy. Good for families. Go for the pizza. There is a lot of parking but still hard to find a spot as this location is very busy. Need to make reservations on the weekend if you want to eat in.

We had dinner here a few weeks back expecting a long wait on a Friday night but they got us in quickly! Our server was helpful explaining items on the menu and we got our food very timely considering how busy it was. Would definitely come back in and eat again!
