Lotus in the Beach has a beautiful outdoor and indoor seating area right across from the water – definitely the highlight of the visit. The view alone makes it worth stopping by. The food overall was okay, though the mango salad was disappointing due to an overwhelmingly sweet dressing that overpowered the freshness of the salad. The rest of the dishes and the service were decent, but nothing exceptional. A nice spot for the scenery, but the flavors could be better balanced.

I am not a big fan of crowds, but I make an exception and visit Alki a couple of times each Summer. The other night I modified the pattern a bit and went there in the Winter. The first thing I noticed was that parking was much easier to find. I got a spot on a side street a block away and took a chilly walk to Lotus.
Another advantage of coming in the Winter was that there was no wait to get a table. My date and I sat at one of three occupied tables. The dining area was neatly decorated, clean and in good condition. There were two people working in the front of the house, so we got quick and attentive service.
I ordered a drink from the speciality menu while we checked out the food options. The drink arrived with a little lid on it. When the waitress took off the lid, smoke poured out. While it was a cute effect, it added nothing to the flavor of the drink. My date had red wine, which came with no theatrics.
The menu is two pages, packed with items. There were little icons showing which items were spicy, raw or included a side of rice. Many dishes had a vegetarian option. I went with crispy garlic chicken and my date had the lemon grass stir fry with tofu.
The food came up quickly and looked fabulous and plentiful. The chicken was in fact quite crispy, but there was not much garlic and the oil used to fry the chicken was a bit burned. My date reported that the stir fry was very good.
We took our time over dinner. The staff stopped by from time to time, but we didn’t feel rushed. Eventually, I waved the waiter over and asked for the check. We split the $95 – not bad for the level of restaurant.

This is the first Thai place where the Pad Thai was perfect! The flavor was there and it wasn’t too heavy of a meal. I personally had the Crispy Garlic Chicken entree and that was so good too. The rice provided was even portioned correctly! I also had one of their cocktails, the U-Babe, and it was perfectly concocted! Tan, the manager of this restaurant also served us and he was so wonderful. I will definitely come back for more.

Absolutely fantastic addition to Alki Beach! We ordered the Pad Thai and the garlic chicken, and both dishes were amazing. Fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. Service with Quyen was warm and efficient without ever feeling rushed.
The atmosphere is warm, relaxed, and exactly what you want when dining along the shore. Add in their full bar and you have a spot that checks every box.
Highly recommend! Alki Beach is lucky to have this wonderful new restaurant right on the waterfront. We’ll definitely be back.

Beautiful indoor decor and outdoor seating. Great beach views. Tons of non alcoholic drink options. I enjoyed the chicken lettuce wraps. Very comfy chairs. We wanted to have a few drinks post-meal and felt a little rushed out despite them having many open tables. Overall would go again for a casual beach front spot!

We found this place unexpectedly and it exceeded our expectations. The entire staff was so friendly and welcoming! We had Annie as our server and she did a great job assisting our orders. Highly recommend ordering the chicken Pad Thai, curry pineapple fried rice and the Tom kha soup. The soup was made so well with a perfect consistency and amount of coconut milk. Amazing view too! Must try!!

This was my 1st time at Lotus on the Beach. I ordered the Mongolian Beef and the Lemongrass Chicken. Both meats were of high quality and the sauces on each were really flavorful! The chicken was moist and the beef was tender. I also ordered Jasmine Green tea which I normally would not mention but theirs was the best I’ve ever had. The jasmine was very prominent but in a soft way. The atmosphere has a relaxed vibe and the restaurant is clean. I appreciated that the music was truly in the background and did not interfere with table conversations. This is my new favorite place.
