We were looking for a change of pace from all the Austrian food and stumbled upon this small diner serving Italian food.
The food was quite good and very reasonably priced with huge portions. Atmosphere was lovely and staff were nice too!

We went without a reservation but got lucky and found a table for 5. The pasta, risotto and pizza were delicious. We liked the atmosphere and the service. I recommend it to everyone.

A very nice Italian restaurant near the Vienna main railway station. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The service is fast and professional. The food is delicious. We didn’t expect such a great restaurant close to the station but it was full and this showed that it was a very popular restaurant, not just for travelers but also for the locals. They also have a display with the train departures inside. It was a bit drafty and cold inside the restaurant because of a relatively big turnover of customers, not just those who dined in but also food delivery people and those who just came for a takeaway meal. One can see how fast and efficiently the guys work to serve everyone. We had a nice evening there and enjoyed our food and drinks.

Kind service. Chatgpt suggested this place. I was searching for a grain/wheat free Italian restaurant. They serve their pastas also gluten-free. Unfortunately pizzas are not serve like this.
So we ate a margarita and a gluten free carbonara.
It was so tasty I could’ve eat one more portion as I was very hungry.
Chill clean atmosphere.

Italian restaurant with variety of pizzas and pastas. I appreciate they serve gluten free pasta (penne). I had it with carbonara and it was very nice. My boyfriend had a regular carbonara and also said it was delicious. I hope they can start making gluten free pizzas too since they looked amazing!! (And a GF beer would also be awesome). Service was a bit slow, but it was full and we had time to spare so it was fine for us. I’d come back!

Usually, I like this chain, but this review is specifically about the location in Vienna. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing.
The place was dirty inside, Wi-Fi was advertised but the staff said it wasn’t available. We waited for our order for about half an hour, and the restaurant was very noisy. The usual complimentary bread and butter before the meal were not served.
I ordered carbonara, and my companion had ravioli. Instead of a classic carbonara (which should be prepared with egg), I was served plain pasta with fried bits. They also brought warm non-alcoholic beer, and the parmesan cheese looked stale and clumpy.
It’s a real pity that the Vienna branch had such a low level of service and quality.

Today me and my friends went there to have a lunch, because the location was really close to our hotels. Unfortunately we left really disappointed, mostly because of the staff.
I asked the man who took our order if I could order a pizza “Quattro Formaggi” without the gorgonzola and asked if it was a pizza bianca or they are making it with tomato sauce. Then he told me that the only sauce they have instead of the tomato one is a ceaser sauce, so I said yes, that would be perfect. Around 30minutes later he brings me a pizza I didn’t order, something like a ceaser salad on a pizza. Then I got really mad because instead of saying sorry, he tried to convince me that I ordered this exact pizza, which is 100% not true!!!
After 10minutes I received a pizza “Quattro Formaggi” WITH GORGONZOLA, when I told him several times, that I am getting nauseous from the smell and asked politely many times if it’s possible for them not to put it in my pizza.
After that, I just left and ate in McDonalds and of course, since there is no attention to the clients, I had to pay for a pizza I never ordered and didn’t ate as well!
Cause the man just decided to say sorry and left the table. If there was no choice for me, I would’ve just taken “no” for an answer, you know? But when he says that it’s possible, I really have my rights to be upset.
And to be honest my friend’s pizzas were all burnt. We won’t be coming back.
The atmosphere is really nice… but they need to change much things, starting off with looking for staff that actually understands and speak English, since the restaurant is located in the perfect place for tourists, like us.

I picked up Tortelloni Prosciutto. It’s the first time I’ve ever ordered take away at L’osteria, since I usually ‘dine in’. Only this time the quality of the plate left me hanging. As seen in the picture the cut onion pieces were huge, there was barely any sauce and in a very watery consistency. Watery was a fitting description lavor-wise, too, sadly! The ham and the Tortelloni were great as always! I was quite disappointed, since this was not the quality I am used to when eating at L’osteria! Just because it’s take away, doesn’t mean you have to throw everything together just to get it out of the kitchen!

What an amazing and friendly staff (Shalal). The staff went out of their way to ensure I had an accessible table. The bar is well stocked and the waiters don’t stalk you like at some locations. Very close to the train station so I would recommend this location after a long train ride. Extremely clean and kept up to date. For those that have posted bad reviews those reviews do not represent this restaurant. Huge plus there is an active train departure sign inside.

Sometimes it‘s a hit and miss when ordering from this place.
As it‘s in close proximity to our office, conveniently and its popularity/ease of ordering makes things choosing a bit easy.
But it‘s not sometimes perfect: there are times when the dough is a bit slimey, some times when the dough is cruncy, sometimes little to no salami, sometimes thrown on a single place and the whole pizza is without. Sometimes smaller, other times as big as the box. Or very oily, to a point even the box is.
I hope they would improve in the future, as i really like it in general.
