I highly recommend going here for lunch!The food was amazing!!!!! It was hot and came out quick. The staff were kind and the environment was great! A great place to have lunch. We had the cheese burger, chicken burrito bowl and a kids chicken strips with apple sauce. I definitely recommend the tots!

Stopped here for a quick bite before heading back home to Houston. Did not disappoint. Ordered the cheese fries and sliders. They were Yom!!! Service was great, everything came out quick and the atmosphere was as if we were in a movie setting of the wild west. We will be Stopping by again for sure to try the steak!

We went with a big group. Every person loved their food. I had the fish and chips and it was sooo good. The tartar sauce is made in house and it’s delicious. Yummy cocktails. From the house salad to the soups (I had a pepper gouda soup!) to the sandwiches to of course the fish and chips. Our waitress Vanessa was so sweet and super accommodating to everyone and specifically for my friend who has certain foods she can’t eat. The owner came and chatted with us. Such a gem and I’m looking forward to going back!

This place was great! We ordered at the bar which was easy and the bartender attempted to make a blueberry margarita which came out great but offered anything else if i didn’t like it. Food was soooo good! I had the cheeseburger sliders with jalapeños and ppj cheese and it was amazing! Onion rings were the perfect crisp and soft inside. Just amazing!

I just went on my lunch break & ordered the fish & chips to go. I ordered an extra filet cause I thought this was fresh cod. I get back to work & was so hungry, I bite into the fish & I could’ve just made fish sticks in the oven at home, cause that’s exactly what it tasted like. The fries were hard, I am beyond disappointed.
This was my first & last time going to 1916 Bar & Bistro.
Update: I originally gave this business 1 star & that is my fault. I should have called to speak with a manager BEFORE leaving a review and for that, I apologize.
After leaving the review, I called and spoke with the GM, Angie, she said she’d make it right & refund the meal. I just went in to speak with her, she wasn’t rude or confrontational. She was super nice, she apologized & explained the situation. She had my refund ready in an envelope in the register already. Today reiterated not to react off emotion & (hunger) lol, that a conversation goes a long way! Thank you Ms. Angie, I appreciate you!

What a terrific find! We struck out for one place, but that didn’t work out, so this placed looked interesting. Charming building with history. Friendly service. Our food was delicious and perfectly cooked to order. Drinks were great, and prices were good. It is definitely a local favorite. We could tell by the familiarity among the patrons. Great place! We both ordered the jalepeno burger (their signature burger).

It was a great experience and the service was excellent. I had the ribeye and two sides and it was good quality ribeye. Sebastian was excellent. He answered all our questions regarding the menu and we also followed his suggestion in ordering the ribeye. Glad I did. He continue checking on us to make sure we had everything we need. Red Chief thank you for the great recommendation as well.

Valentines dinner was horrendous . Waitress was trying to be funny and screamed at our table about separating checks . Than she disappeared. Had to go to bar to get our own drinks. Ordered prime rib rare . It came out dry and well done . No juice served with it , menu said mashed potatoes we got roasted potatoes. For the price we payed should have gotten bread on the table . The salmon was delicious but served in a soup bowl ? Should have been served over rice maybe, mixed vegetables or even a pasta side . One option came with two sides , nowhere on menu are sides listed ? Mine came with a beer . I asked waitress my options, she pointed to a list of beers on the wall? No explanation of what kind of beer , alcohol content, Pilsner, lager , etc . Desserts were good but only some options offered dessert.
