The food here was genuinely really good, and we were greeted and seated quickly, which set the visit off on the right foot. The only thing that threw us off a bit was our waitress. Every time we ordered, she repeated it back to us in a way that felt more like she was questioning whether we really wanted it. At first we thought it might’ve been a language barrier—just a couple of white guys eating at a Mexican restaurant—but I speak Spanish too, and it was the same experience.

She wasn’t a bad waitress by any means, just not very attentive and a little unsure with everything. The biggest issue came when it was time to pay. When the tip options popped up on the handheld card reader, she actually pointed to the percentage she wanted and asked, “This one is ok for you?” My friend said she did the same thing to him.

Great food and fast seating, but the service needs a little polishing to match the quality of the kitchen.

I went there last night and the waiter couldn’t even give me exact change back, he said he didn’t have it! That’s bad business so I definitely won’t be back. The food was bland, my shrimp wasn’t cooked to my liking but I was hungry so I ate it.

Wonderful service, hot, flavorful food…EXACTLY what we were looking for this evening. SO glad we came here. Queso was amazing, chips were warm…we are 100% coming back in the future. Whoever is working here is doing it RIGHT!!!! I am not usually moved to leave reviews on places but I wish i could give this place 10/5 stars.

Best mexican restaurant in the area by far! The staff were very welcoming and the service was impeccable. They were quick to get the food and drinks out. We had the Carnitas, steak fajitas, and Tres Magueyes Dinner. The food was delicious and they make the carnitas exactly how I like them to be made. I was so relieved that the rice and beans were very good. The atmosphere was awesome with a great mix of a traditional mexican vibe and a drizzle of modern decor. They became our go-to mexican restaurant!

Update: Too pricey and portions have gotten small. If you want to increase prices, you ought to compensate with acceptable portions. Some of the servers are not up to standards, some are slow and others have face tattoos. Carnitas are also not as good as they have been. New menus are poorly designed and there are no descriptions for their meals anymore. How would one know what is in their burritos without a description?

Superb service, excellent queso, and amazing food!

There is an automatic tip, but worth it bc we got served quickly and with authentic Mexican food. I would go there again. A large menu to select from!

Not sure where to start. Mixed review for us. We came in kind of late, but with plenty of time before closing. The waitress obviously was ready to go home. kids. Ordering was fairly quick and easy. Two steak taco salads and diet coke. Good thing I ordered an extra side of sour cream, because it was forgotten in the salads. Salsa for chips was pretty good, but they must have been rationing it. No drink refills… at all. My friend almost choked on a fatty piece of fajita steak and had no soda to wash it down! It ended up on the table. Gross, but necessary. She lived. Thank goodness. My friend decided to go ahead and pay the bill early and the waitress in turn decided it was time to take away my almost complete salad. I think I growled at her! She wasn’t even going to ask if we wanted doggy boxes! She brought the device over for paying the tab and luckily my friend noticed that she had already determined her own tip! Not today, baby girl! She did get a tip… for the type of service she provided. Is this review bad? No, not all bad. But room for improvement for sure.

We arrive, looks very nice from the outside, go in and inside looks nice. we are seated in a booth and its very tight, seems they tried to put to much seating in an area. waiter brought the chips which were all broken into little pieces, the salsa was in a big bowl but it was only about 1/3 filled and there was 4 of us. the salsa was not good, chips were stale. the menu was like a book and there was just too many options to choice from, we had to ask the waiter 3 times to give us more time to look at menu. when we were ready to order we had to find the waiter it had been 10 min since he last checked with us. well we ordered. my one son always get chicken nuggets and fries. that order came out 15 min later and the chicken nuggets were over cooked. then it took another 15 min before our food came out and my son was almost done eating his. the refried beans, rice and tortillas were cold as well. the waiter never came back to check on us, 25 min had past since getting our food and hubby had ended up having to ask the manager for the waiter so we can get our ticket, pay and leave. the waiter brought the ticket but it wasnt for our table. the food my have looked good but i dont enjoy eating cold food.

This place is a throwback Mexican experience for me.
Their decor is bright, bold and detailed with their history.
I ordered the Carne Asada with their signature margarita. The steak was a little to overcooked and crispy for my liking. The mole and rice was delicious. My margarita tasted a little water down with a little more lime than normal. I asked for extra hot sauce and they brought us over what appeared to be their homemade hot sauce. It was absolutely hot and delicious that complimented my dish.
The location was easy since it’s in the beautiful Renaissance Shopping Center.
Staff was extremely friendly.
Service was on par considering it was the start of peak hours. We were there at 5pm.
Cleanliness was okay but they could definitely try to wipe off the menus, salt and pepper shaker because it was very sticky.
Overall it was a good experience.

Nice decorations, very interesting, food were good enough. Service was good from the beginning, then after we were done, waited long long time to check out. No waitresses came over and deliver the check. Finally we went to the cashier to check out. Worsely, they tipped us 18% without mentioning ( i and my bf, just 2 people). And we tipped them. Then we found we doubled tipped. So post it here. Be aware when you pay at this restaurant, friends.

This was my second time coming. I ordered a different meal of carne asada tacos and it was delicious. This place makes a great line margarita too and there are more flavors to try. The restaurant was quiet for a Friday night. I enjoyed my meal though.
