Los Toritos of Crossville: A Surprising and Festive Find!

I was genuinely and pleasantly surprised by my experience at Los Toritos of Crossville. This is far more than just your average Mexican restaurant—it’s a lively, delicious, and budget-friendly destination!

From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is a lot of fun., they even had a DJ playing Christmas music, which added a great, festive energy to the evening.

The quality of the food was outstanding, starting right away with the complimentary chips and salsa. The tortilla chips were warm and tasted fresh right out of the fryer, which is always a good sign. Everything we ordered was fresh and tasty, and the portions were huge for the very reasonable prices.

I was particularly impressed with the Chimichangas. They were fully stuffed with ingredients and, thankfully, they were not fried too long, avoiding that tough, over-fried texture you find at some other restaurants. They were light, crispy, and flavorful.

I’m already looking forward to my next visit, especially to take advantage of their excellent specials. As of now, they have burritos for just $1.50 each on Wednesdays! I will be back on a Wednesday and will report back!

The atmosphere here was fun and lively on a Friday night. There was a strolling fiddle player on the floor. There was a live singer on the stage. The waitress was friendly and genuine. The food was delicious with generous portions and we didn’t have a long wait. I would rate this restaurant 10 out of 10.

Enchiladas, chips and salsa, and beer were all great. Beer was served in a fun chilled boot shaped glass. Service was quick and friendly. Definitely recommend stopping in here if you’re traveling 40.

We hadn’t visited this restaurant because of early negative reviews; however, we decided today to give them a try. To say we were pleasantly surprised would be an understatement. The food was delicious, our waitress very attentive and the margaritas were fantastic. We will be going back regularly.

What a cute little place. We have been to a number of different Mexican restaurants in Crossville and thought the food here was fantastic. My only criticism is that the margarita, which was very good, came in a plastic glass

Great place to stop for dinner. Stumbled upon this place on drive from Knoxville to Nashville. Some of the best Mexican food I’ve ever had. Atmosphere seems a bit thrown together with random things but its fun.

I had dinner there on Sunday Nov 30 2025.
the restaurant was very clean. It had a great look and a calming atmosphere after 700 miles
For dinner I had an dish called
Alambre
A combination, chorizo, ham, bacon, grilled veggies, jalapenos, choice of grilled chicken, steak or mixed, topped with
shredded melted cheese and served with rice, beans and salad.

It was great. A very well balanced blend of spices, textures, flavors and heat. I would say the best dish I have had at any Mexican restaurant I have dined at.
Marcos was my server for the evening. He did a great job, thank you for a relaxing enjoyable dinner.

Food was good. We had fajitas (shrimp & chicken). They offer corn and flour tortillas. The straws are a little short for the cups. The menu has a lot of options for a tex-mex restaurant. There’s a winery next door, so you can tour and taste vino on the way home after your meal.

OmG !! Where should I start….if you have read my reviews I don’t usually bash a restaurant or its servers unless it is warranted. But in the relentless pursuit of the best chile relleno I have probably found the worst yet…but it doesn’t end there, just about every cover was unbelievably bad , the chicken taco salad completely un edible the kids nachos seemed topped with a meat similar to cat food , the combo I ordered the chile 2 tacos beans and rice…was hardly a combo as pictured and well…honestly I have had better tacos at taco bell and they we not soggy and fell apart when I tried to eat them…the only thing edible on the 100 dollar ticket ! Yes a 100 bucks …(we eat out Mexican often in our neck of the woods it’s under 60 bucks) …was the kids cheeseburger and fries …so you probably get the food was bad .
The server was the worst I have had in a while the food took forever to come out and she complained she was the only one working as her and the hostess I take it were in the back arguing…when we ask a question about the food she didn’t know and said….I don’t eat here ! Oh please
We asked if they had any salsa that was hotter….well she never brought it we asked again and she snapped I’m all alone here….ok well there are three party’s in the whole place excuse us
Oh and the paper cup of salsa was 3 dollars haha…needles to say it was a disaster….I won’t continue
