Rosy took care of us this morning. A very friendly young lady. Her attention to service and warm personality made an excellent breakfast exceptional.
A simple order of two plates of Huevos Rancheros for me and my wife. Very good mild and spicy salsa with chips got our appetites warmed up. The Huevos Rancheros were perfect. A couple of fried eggs on corn tortillas covered with freshly made ranchero sauce. A little queso fresco sprinkled on top. Perfect delicious. The rice and beans were outstanding. Oh damn, this was good and authentic, authentic, authentic. A salsa verde is available. That will be next time. I have had good huevos rancheros in Tulsa. Picking the best of them is difficult now.
This is the same Los Primos that operated on 11th near Garnett a few years ago. We used to get food to go there, during covid. Always excellent.
A neat little place for quality authentic Mexican food and great service.
If are looking for other Mexican restaurants in the area, check out my reviews in my collection “Jalapeno Highway” by Spike S. on Yelp. I’ve probably been there.
When the food finally came, she handed me 2 bags, and shut the window. There was no ” thank you”, no “sorry about the wait.” So I had to ring the bell for the 3rd time to ask if the order was complete. And informed a new girl that a thank you would have been nice, after spending 50 dollars and waiting 30 minutes, to which she rolled her eyes, before I told her I would be leaving this review for their attitudes.
The food was GREAT. No lie. The queso was really good. But I do not plan to ever return.
I circled back to find the preorder signs, which oddly enough, did not exist. The food was good, but did not make up for the service. There is a way to talk to customers. If a place has people who are regularly “getting mad” based on service, then that is a problem, and in this case, it is a problem that could easily be resolved by informing me of a long anticipated wait time, and talking to me like I was a customer, not an enemy.
Good luck cousins.
I recommend the burritos if you want to get full quick as they’re huge, kinda wish the offered more wings but that’s such a small nit-pick that it doesn’t really matter.
Two reasons it doesn’t receive 5 stars
1.
there is always a a barrier in being waited on at least the way I’m accustomed.
2.
The food has always been perfect but the little building just doesn’t match the ambience.
I trust one knows not to be in a hurry or order ahead great food is worth it.
It’s To go orders don’t come with compliment chips and salsa so be sure to add these to your on the go ORDER.
