Popped into Los Potrillos for linner (late lunch/early dinner) after a long day of shopping – and we were HUNGRY. This place did not disappoint. Hubby ordered the “two burrito” plate and I had to try the “chile relleno, enchilada, tamale” plate. Everything was absolutely delicious! The margaritas were Impressive too. We like to order them with a coronita. Yum! And the service, just outstanding. Adolfo (Misa) was so friendly, helpful very attentive. This is now our favorite neighborhood restaurant and we’ll surely be back regularly.

Treated myself to the Chillaquiles with carne asada and it was great
The hot sauce is not for the faint of heart but they serve many of the Mexican classics.
If your a early riser don’t get there exactly at 7:30 but you have plenty of time I believe they serve until 1
Went again for a Sunday treat and the food was great as usual.
Service was wonderful with the staff really making sure I had everything I needed.
And the Huevos Rancheros were great.

We had the Potrillo burrito with chicken, the Pottillo enchilada with shredded beef, and the taco enchilada combo. Everything was delicious including the chips and salsa with the side of cabbage salad. We will most likely be back multiple times, in order to try multiple items on their menu. Everything looks good. Can’t wait to come back.

There is no better chili bear they or chili Colorado in Vancouver that I have found.
The quality of this food is superb. The taste is amazing.
Generous portions pricing is reasonable.
The place is clean and tidy very spacious.
The staff is likable, but not that personable would be nice if they were friendlier
I highly recommend having dinner here
They are not shy to give you a good drink. They don’t hold back on the strength of the drinks.
This place is not cutting any corners with quality or quantity

Los Potrillos is a solid Mexican food restaurant with decent food and very good margaritas. Was there with the wife last night, and ordered the enchilada combination, a tostada, and a tamale. All combination plates come with rice and refried beans. The enchiladas could have used more seasoning I thought (they were a bit bland), but were tasty otherwise. My wife really liked her chicken avocado tostada, which was sizeable and flavorful. The tamale wasn’t awful, but once again was pretty bland and not particularly flavorful. Portions are good size, with my wife taking home a considerable amount of her meal.
On the other hand… service was friendly and prompt, and the margaritas were quite good (and had plenty of Don Julio and Herrendura anejo tequila in them). The restaurant also provides plenty of complimentary chips here, and the salsa and pico de gallo were well made with some noticeable heat (which we appreciated).
Prices are pretty typical for the area. If you don’t order any alcohol, dinner for two will probably run you around $40- $45 with tax. However, the 4 top shelf margaritas we ordered kicked things up an additional $100.
I’m not going to lie and say this was one of the best Mexican meals ever, but in our experience this is about as good as it gets in the Vancouver/Portland area. We’ll definitely be back.

Just chill and relax dinner with my daughter. The restaurant is very spacious and clean. Wait staffs are quick and very attentive. We will be back to try out other dishes.

The staff is kind and service was excellent! The food was good except it was covered in excessive amounts of cheese and the chile relleno batter was soggy, floppy, and falling off of the pepper. I love cheese but no one who doesn’t want an intestinal blockage needs that much cheese. The chips, salsa, beans, rice, and tamale were delicious though!
