Ordered Enchiladas Potosi, a Chile Poblano, along with a Peach Margarita, and queso dip for the chips. The servers were amazing, the food left me satisfied, and the atmosphere was welcoming.
The enchiladas had way more nopales (cactus) on them than I expected, but they were roasted and seasoned to perfection so I didn’t mind it. I ended up mixing wjat I didn’t eat with the enchilada in with the rice and beans (which were fantastic on their own) and drizzled some queso and salsa over the mixture. Finished it off with some of their chips, best meal I’ve had in a while!
The Peach Margarita was very peach forward, could hardly taste the tequila. But it was a lovely drink!

This was my first time here. Everyone was very pleasant, food was cooked to order and delicious, prices were comparable to other restaurants. Atmosphere was very inviting and very colorful. I recommend checking Los Portales out if you haven’t yet.

Restaurant told me they were closed 25 min before. I had an easy order and they didn’t even want to take it 15 min early. I love this franchise but they first didn’t acknowledge the customer.

Bring your appetite and wear your stretchy pants. Their burritos are incredibly large, no exaggeration. Great flavor and temperature. I asked for no beans, and it came with beans, but it’s not the end of the world. The place was decorated by a color enthusiast, there is something different to look at with every turn. The chairs and tables are beautiful. The employees are friendly and come around often to fill waters. They have a welcoming environment.

The second star given in this review is ONLY kindness because we used to love this place. We havent been here in awhile and after this horrible visit tonight we likely wont be back. I should’ve known stuff went downhill when the note on the door encouraged customers to check their food before they go for remakes and refunds… We got sat down right away but in some corner by ourselves surrounded by other tables that were not yet cleaned. The light bulb for our table was literally burnt out also so we were eating in the dark. Our waitress came for drinks and was absolutely CLUELESS to what soda water is and corrected me with an entirely different type of water. I said no, soda water please. She acknowledged me like she understood but brought back regular water with no garnish either. I was extremely annoyed but continued politely with ordering our food. We thought she was clueless about water? Try their very own menu!!!! My husband ordered 7 seas burrito and she looked at him like he spoke in language not yet discovered. He had to literally open the menu to clarify to her. We then get our food and my plate was so insulting. It is FULL of rice and beans with hardly any of the main dish at all. Ive never seen it like that. Not to mention ive never seen beans the way I recieved them tonight either. Not sure they were still beans? They were extremely runny and disgusting. We found out they were disgusting after my husband had to go get our silverware as we werent given any. The food was all cold and just very hard to eat. If it wasnt for the menu prices we probably wouldve left it all right there. Such a disappointment as we used to love this place.

We’ve been coming here since we moved to iowa. The eve before Thanksgiving, it was rather quiet. We sat immediately yet waited nearly 20 minutes for the waitress. She was in no hurry. Food seemed like it took awhile or at least for the waitress to deliver it. We had finished eating waited about 15 more minutes the finally got the bill. The waitress stood at the bar were socializing seemed more important. We walked to the cashier to finish the evening.

Awesome first time experience.
When we pulled up the parking lot was packed. I was able to find a parking spot and we were seated immediately. Restaurant is huge and has a ton of seating so finding a spot was not a problem. This place would be ideal for large gatherings or parties. We were waited on very quickly. The chips and salsa came were super fresh.
My wife ordered the shrimp quesadilla with beans and rice and I ordered the Texas fajitas with beans and rice. Our food arrived by the time we were wrapping up are chips and salsa. The portion sizes are incredible and the pricing is more than decent. Food was very tasty and overall no complaints.
Staff was friendly and very helpful. We tipped them well as we expect to be back again soon.

The atmosphere is so fun and lively There were plenty of servers and service was quick and they checked on us frequently.
I ordered fish tacos but they brought shrimp instead. I like shrimp tacos so I just kept them instead of sending them back but all they were was very lightly seasoned shrimp on a tortilla. No crema or slaw like I usually get on shrimp tacos. My mom’s burrito was supposed to be beef and beans but was just beef. My sister got a dish that had shrimp, bacon, pineapple and hot dogs that she really liked. Overall the food was just average for me.
The margaritas were good and a good value.
