First time eating at Los Pookies and had a 10/10 experience! Our sever was very friendly and conversational. We got the Birria egg rolls to start and they great! My wife ordered Asada tacos and I got the Diablo burger – all of it was delicious But, oddly enough, what stole the show were the beans! They had amazing flavor and are the best I’ve had in Burque.

Came here for some food with one of my friends and they had a birria pizza. It was great. A good dinner for me and my friend. The server was really nice and they were fast at bringing everything and the food was great. Will definitely return.

I was so hype to try this spot after getting glowing reviews. Food was hot but much was left to be desired. The birria had a good flavor…BUT whoever made it got lazy. The tortilla wasn’t even grilled, maybe warmed or toasted a little. What was supposed be consomme was broth. Straight broth. Maybe bone broth. I don’t know but it was NOT consomme. I ordered 2 hours before closing. It’s a no for me, dawg.

I walked in with a party of four, there was no “Welcome in” or “Hello” , just a cold stare from the staff. I read the sign and it said seat yourself, so we go sit down, after sitting there for awhile. No one came over, a couple of other individuals came in after us and they were greeted with a friendly “Welcome in, sit wherever you like “ .. Then merely seconds after they sat down there drink order were taken, all four of us sat there dumbfounded, my cousin went over to the front desk and was ignored, then one of the waitstaff members responded rudely “I’ll be right over there to take your drink order.” My nephew who is a non verbal autistic was making noise, I believe we were discriminated against because of this, After waiting another 10 minutes she never came, while we were sitting there everyone else around us were being assisted with drinks, orders taken orders being brought out etc. Never in our lives have we ever been treated this way by anyone. We ended up walking out there and going to Lindo Mexico where we were treated with excellent customer service. We will not ever return to this dumpster fire of a restaurant, it also had a foul smell in the establishment as well. So, if you have a loved one who has mental limitations/disabilities stay far away because you’re definitely not welcomed at this spot.

Arrived and warmly greeted. All staff members looked busy but we were attended very well by the young lady at the counter. The establishment looked okay. The tables were clean but the view into the kitchen as you go to the bathroom needs to be addressed. The bathroom itself looked a little unkept. The establishment was also a little smoky as well. We ordered a birria pizza and some birria nachos. The flavor of the meat in the nachos was very appetizing and tender. The pinto beans had a unique flavor, good though. The green and red salsa was very good as well. The birria pizza was priced high average but the portion was good sized. The consome (for dipping) however, in my opinion, was a little lacking. It was not a good red hearty broth but was rather lean and almost looked like plain heated up beef broth with a little cilantro and onion. The flavor of the broth was not super flavorful either even when stirred. This was a little disappointing. I will give this spot a try again. I enjoy supporting local shops. Again, the staff was very friendly and helpful. All in all a solid 4 ⭐.

The Birria Pizza was 8 large slices said it could feed 3 but it fed 4 and then some lol. The Guacamole could use more salt but great for you to just add your own. The green chile salsa stuff was AMAZING and the other one was good had a little kick. I really liked their fresh homemade style chips perfect crisp. The people were friendly played good music and clean, welcoming environment! Definitely 10/10 recommend!

Cute little cozy Mexican restaurant with delicious food and spectacular service, My cousin randomly chose this place to have lunch at because we’re from KS and this was our first time in the area. We ordered Queso, Guacamole, Birria Tacos, and Chiles Ahogados & everything was delicious! I don’t remember her name but our server was super charismatic and made our experience there memorable! We’re in the restaurant industry and we were truly impressed with this place!

I was taken here by academic colleagues after a day’s conference events ended. This is a popular place among many in the area, run by an ex-Marine. It’s a really fun, family friendly place that is so colorful with really delicious, authentic Mexican food. Delicious. Highly recommended! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
