Excellent restaurant – Highly recommended
Los Pepe’s is without a doubt my favorite place in Longview. They offer a great variety of foods and excellent quality meats, and the cocktails are delicious. It’s perfect for going with a group or celebrating special occasions like birthdays. The meats are absolutely my favorite, and the nopal is exquisite. The food, atmosphere, and service make this place a complete experience. I love it and recommend it 100%.

If I could give 10/5 I would. The food and drinks were beyond amazing. The gentlemen that greeted us was so sweet. I love seeing people that smile when you walk into a restaurant. The service incredible and quick. The lovely server that recommended the zombie drink THANK YOU! I will be a regular at this location. I loved the portion of the food and the molcajete was not burnt and had plenty of meat in it. I literally couldn’t finish it was so much food. I cannot say enough good things about this place. Most flavorful food I have had in a while.

A little higher than expected but well worth it. Quick to seat, quick to get the food, and stuff is very pleasant.

Is Los Pepe’s (not sure what that apostrophe is doing there) actually slang for Los Perseguidos por Pablo Escobar? If so, that would be kinda’ cool. Then again, this is Longview. You also have a place that people reference as “murder tacos” (even as said tacos are delicious and the actual story is not quite that interesting).

The rest of the Mexican food scene in the Longview/Kelso veers from over-priced and good to your usual Mexican-adjacent and microwaved fare. For years, I have been taking a group here at least once a year. And, for years, I had been frequenting a place that is high on the décor (let’s call it Azteca-bling) but, more and more, overpriced for what you get.

This year, we switched gears and went to Los Pepe’s. Again, what is with the apostrophe?!?! This looks like a repurposed Denny’s. Some minimal design tweaks. What was likely once a bar in the back is now more dining space. All in all, you aren’t going here for the atmosphere.

First thing first, the service was outstanding. The hostess who greeted us was more than willing to accommodate our party of more than ten. The next thing I noticed is that this place was filled with a lot of locals who would have to decide to go here. By that I mean, this was a Mexican restaurant that was filled with Mexicans (and other, like us, white folk). To me, that is a good sign.

Table service was prompt. Chips and salsa were a cut above the normal. Our server was also a bit sassy, which I appreciated. The other staff were also prompt with refilling drinks and chips.
The fajitas were (and I know they are Tex-Mex and not traditional Mexican) flavorful. The mole was both sweet and spicy. The other dishes were standard fare. But they were done right and well-portioned for the prices charged. Everyone left happy. And some left with leftovers.

Next time I am in town, I will pick this place. They treated us well. The prices were fair. The portions were good. And the quality was better than I expected.

Thank you for the meal. It was a great end to a long day.

Place is cute. The fajitas were really good. Very flavorful. Only complaint is that you cannot get chorizo tacos. They have chorizo queso, so not sure why you don’t have chorizo tacos on the menu.

The food here was solid and not extraordinary but then again I didn’t order anything extraordinary ….Just some shrimp fajitas….. But I will say the tortilla chips they bring to your table are the BEST I’ve found in Longview…. And I will add that the salsa was also SUPERIOR….. So if you’re looking for solid Mexican food with amazing tortilla chips and salsa brought before your meal, You should DEFINITELY GO HERE

The staff were nice,
Food was good just didn’t have that wow flavor it was more towards the bland side if you like that then it’s great.
1 beer, 1 appetiser, 1 entree + tip $50
I’d go back but it’s noty favorite Mexican in town.

Food has been great every time we’ve been recently. The booths are big so you dont feel crowded while eating. 4 stars because desserts weren’t that good. Churros were hard and dry and fried ice cream was very small.

Went for lunch. We were seated immediately. The restaurant is very clean, with the exception of hvac vents. The tabletops are made from slab wood, making a nice impression. Drinks were ordered, and upon getting the drinks, we ordered a fish taco plate and a chicken salad. The waitress was very nice. I asked if the fish was fried and was told yes. The meal arrived 5 minutes later. I noted that the fish (tilapia) was grilled. There were two fish tacos on the plate. Each taco was served on corn tortillas with melted cheese. It was topped with pico de gallo (no tomatoes), with very little cabbage, onion, and cilantro. The fish had little flavor. Both cheese topped refried beans and spanish rice were plain. The waitress did not ask how the meal was nor was attentive for drink refills. My wife had the chicken salad with blue cheese dressing. She commented that the dressing was very weak with little taste. The size of the salad was fair. The grilled chicken was placed on top of the salad and wilted the lettuce. Pricing is at market and there was plenty of parking.

THE BEST ARROZ CON POLLO I have ever had. It’s clean. The business apparently has just moved into this newer/larger location is told, so decoration was sparse however, the tables alone we’re incredible! We were a party four and all of us raved about the food that we had ordered. It was so good. I truly wish I was closer or that they were in my hometown.
